Right team. Right here. 💙 What a beautiful day at the ballpark as colorectal cancer survivor P.J. Cosgrove was honored by the Cincinnati Reds as Honorary Captain of the Game. P.J., a Cincinnati native, was joined on the field by his expert lineup of caregivers - Dr. Jai Bikhchandani, Vanessa Stidham and Michelle O’Hara.

Reflecting on his journey, P.J. shared, “What impressed me most was their human touch. Every interaction conveyed compassion, competence and a commitment to my well-being. The entire team went to extraordinary lengths to optimize my outcome, and that made all the difference.”

Diagnosed with cancer in 2024, P.J. completed treatment with the support of his St. Elizabeth care team and is now nearly two years cancer‑free - a powerful example of what can be achieved through early detection and highly effective personalized treatment. “There is always hope.”

We’re proud to welcome Jayme Rice, one of St. Elizabeth’s newest volunteers, who is bringing comfort and care to patients in our Skilled Nursing Unit through her talents as a nail technician 💅💚 Jayme has already made a meaningful impact by providing spa nail treatments that offer relief and create moments of connection for our patients.

“When my father was in the hospital, I noticed that patients' hands were not always able to receive the detailed personal care they might at home. That really touched my heart. During that time, I truly felt the Lord place it on my heart to use my skills to serve in a way that restores dignity, comfort and connection during vulnerable moments,” said Jayme.
