We’re proud to highlight one of our dedicated volunteers, Keila Campos, whose warmth and compassion shine through in every interaction. 🌟

Keila serves at the Florence information desk, where she greets patients, families and visitors with kindness and care. For her, volunteering is about more than just giving directions — it’s about making meaningful connections. “You don’t know what people are going through, but by being friendly you can make their day.” Her approach reflects the heart of Hispanic culture: community, empathy and service. Keila sees volunteering as a way to grow personally and professionally while giving back to others. “Volunteering is a great opportunity to meet new people, to grow professionally and to give the best of yourself.”

When asked what being Hispanic means to her, Keila speaks with pride: “Being Hispanic means being part of a community that will be there for you. We take care of others, and we help people feel safe.” Keila’s presence is a reminder of the power of cultural values in action. 💙

At St. Elizabeth, our NICU team goes above and beyond, not just in care but in compassion.

NICU Manager Keri Hinson began crocheting sea turtles in 2022 while recovering from an injury. These handmade gifts are given to babies born under 30 weeks or to those facing significant challenges. 🧶🐢

Why sea turtles? Because they symbolize endurance, determination and ancient wisdom, just like our tiniest fighters.

Each turtle comes with a heartfelt message:
"Like the Sea Turtle, [baby name] has shown great strength, determination and patience with every challenge. Stay strong and determined… you will endure!"

Thank you to our neonatal nurses for your unwavering dedication and love. You are the heartbeat of hope for so many families. Our heart goes out to Brooklyn (baby) and Britney (mom), whose courage and resilience continue to inspire us. 💙
