Breathe 379

Breathe 379 Find a need and meet it...in our communities and beyond. A place of relief, provision and acceptance, not a hand out, but a hand up. No limits.

Our dream and goal is to have several physical locations across the US that will be a non-judgmental place where no matter your economic status, physical appearance, whether wearing a business suit living in a mansion or jeans on a farm or even tattered clothes and living in a cardboard box, no matter your beliefs, age or any other box that society puts us in, you are welcomed. Where anyone can come for help, a chance to “escape” from the pressures of society and life, a place to learn to survive, a place to fit in and to be yourself, a place to have fun. A place that no matter what trouble you are facing, you will be helped to the best of the ability of the staff. Our desire is to have multiple locations that can help facilitate any need that you can think of or come across. To offer services in the following areas and beyond:

• Daycare/After School Care
• Education
o Tutoring
o GED
o Job Training
o Life Skills
o New Mommy/Daddy Classes
• Counseling & Support Groups
• Visitation Groups
o Elder Home Visits
o Children Hospitals
• Youth Center/Hangout
• Friday/Saturday Night Life
• Summer Camps
• Community Days
o Hair Cuts
o Minor Car Care
o Cook Out
o Basic Life Care
o Mobile Medical Care

To also be a place where others (churches, non-profits,
individuals, etc.) with a vision can come together to gain support
and join resources to reach beyond our limits. In the meantime, we work and constantly reminding folks that they are not alone, not forgotten and that there is hope...no matter where they are in life by doing things like:

- Providing Coats and clothes
- Doing Toy Drives at Christmas
- Providing food through our pantry
- Give out Backpack Survival Kits to those in housing transitions
- Helping to provide shoes for orphanages in Africa

And so much more....its only just begun.

Good morning!! I hope everyone is somewhere safe and warm. A few things going on that you NEED to know for now.

1. If you are not somewhere safe and warm...please go to this link and find out where you can get to (anywhere in MD) to be safe. There are several places that are being used as "warming" zones. (Harford Co. Pub. Library's for one during business hours). Check out the list for places all of MD.https://health.maryland.gov/preparedness/Documents/2312_OPR_LocalWarmingCenter.pdf

2. LADIES - if you are looking for a little help in life in general...and maybe this weather has stopped you from reaching out....or maybe it is pushing you to reach out now....please check out our friends at Bethesda Transformation Center. A warm bed and place to be...with a purpose in helping you navigate life at this point.

3. We had fully intended on being open and ready for you all tomorrow. However, after getting here this morning, it is not going to be feasible sadly. While we have a few parking spots open, the surrounding areas/businesses are still unplowed. Our sidewalks are covered in ice, then snow under. I've tried to shovel it but to no avail....

So, for the safety of our volunteers and for you, we'll not be open tomorrow. We are so sorry for this.

I'll be working on a plan to get things cleared on our property over the next couple of days as best we can. We do know that there is another snow "storm" moving in for the weekend. Not sure how big or how small....but we're do our best to have things set and ready for next week.

In the meantime, George is very sad that you wont see him one last time in his Christmas best...so...he asked to send a picture. We'll see if he gets dressed up for Valentines day.

Stay safe and warm folks. We'll hopefully see you next week.

There is so much power in that little copper coin. The gov't maybe stopping the production of it...but before they get rid of them...grab one and hold on to it.

Today I got to serve behind the counter serving up lunches. As I was serving them up a lady approached the bar at The Well, looked at me said...."look at me".

(Paraphrased)
"Do you remember the first time I came here? I was walking with a cane, had been diagnosed with MS, was not in my right mind. You all were so nice to me, and treated me kindly every time I came in. Can I tell you what has happened since then, since you all prayed for me.

I was homeless, I got paired up with some "help" that put in an apartment with a man that was unstable....so...I left and was back out on the streets. I came across another organization that helped me too. I was there with them, they prayed with me also.

The first day I was here, you gave me a penny and said 'What does it say'? It says ' In God We Trust'. (It was reminder that every time I saw one...He was there in that moment). I've remembered that every time I saw one. I've even given them to others to remind them.

Do you notice that Im not walking with a cane anymore...that Im talking and thinking more clearly. Do you know why? God healed me...full on healed me. I went back to my neurosurgeon....and they said the original diagnosis is gone, there are no more lesions on my brain. Its gone".

God, thank you for the simple reminder on that copper penny. The next time you see a penny....pick it up. Not for luck...but for the reminder that in that very moment....He sees you. He cares and He loves you.

God Showing Off for YOU!!

Text message from Gerri to Mike last night.
"Hey - how much can I spend for Bailey Sue's Country Market?"
"mmmm....(thinking about utility bills and such coming up)..."ok..we can spend "x" amount".

(Gerri is a great shopper always looking out for us when she shops).

Today in Bailey Sue's Country Market stocking up.
Gerri setting the table - "We dont have much extra stuff, but its something". Then a lady shows up with a bag of random items that can be put on the table to fill it up!!!!

Then:
Gerri "Ok...I still have to go out and get milk and cereal, they didnt have it".
Mike (thinking to himself and not saying anything "Crap, I thought we did good spending money this week and were ahead of the game"). "No worries...go get what you need".

10 mins...TEN MINUTES later, we hear Cheryl going "AAAGGGHHH!!! I cant get out the door!!!" As we walk out the other door....we find this up against our door. A cart loaded with milk and cereal!!!

We're so thankful that there is a God that loves YOU so much that before we even speak what we need....He uses someone hours ago to go get and then show up with a basket full of milk and boxes of cereal while we're talking about it. Thanks God!!!

We cant wait to see all of you tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. (10am - 2pm, doors close at 1.45pm).

If you need help with clothing, groceries, a cup of coffee, lunch, a place to be...someone to pray with you, we'll be here.

Breathe 379 is pleased to introduce the Christian Professionals Alliance—a vibrant community where faith, fellowship, philanthropy, and professional development come together with purpose. This alliance is designed to offer business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals a supportive and meaningful space to build relationships, exchange ideas, share resources, and uplift one another. Through networking opportunities, members can grow both spiritually and professionally while contributing to a greater mission.

Membership is limited to 40 participants at $25 per month (on a recurring credit card) and includes free coffee for all members.

Every dollar collected goes directly toward stocking the food pantry, helping us pursue our monthly goal of $1,000—enough to supply the pantry for an entire week and serve families in need. By joining, members not only invest in their personal and professional growth but also play an active role in supporting their community through ongoing acts of generosity.

What's more -- that $300 that you've committed for 2026 will go towards an in-kind sponsorship for any of our 2026 events!

Would you like to contribute, but can't make it to the networking events? For that same $25/month we'll list you here as an Honorary Member (and credit you for a 2026 in-kind sponsorship as well)!
