Last week was an incredible experience! I had the honor of attending the XLIX International Congress of the Mexican Association of General Surgery in Mexico, where I was invited to deliver three presentations on the latest in hernia repair.

This meeting was truly of high scientific caliber, featuring engaging discussions and a commitment from our Mexican colleagues to advancing the hernia field. I was particularly pleased to share insights on key areas like:
* The use of resorbable meshes in complex repairs.
* Strategies for managing hernias in patients with obesity.

Beyond the scientific program, I had a fantastic opportunity to immerse myself in the rich Mexican culture, explore the beautiful city of León, reconnect with old friends, and make new ones.

Thank you to the scientific committee and especially Dr. Luis Martin Del Campo for the invitation and incredible hospitality. I was genuinely impressed and am already looking forward to next time!
