Arnold expresses satisfaction with his employment at Scandinavia in Bloomington. For the majority of his career, he has worked as a dishwasher, a role he greatly enjoys. Arnold indicates that his preferred days are those spent at work, where he can interact with his colleagues. He also notes that he is treated well by his coworkers and appreciates the complimentary meal provided. Arnold further states that his job provides him with additional income, which he uses for leisure activities within the community, and it enables him to live independently.
Arnold's manager at Taste of Scandinavia in Bloomington expressed their satisfaction with Arnold as a team member. The manager noted that Arnold is a highly loyal employee, consistently striving to perform his best. The manager also highlighted Arnold's pleasant demeanor and gratitude for his employment. Jason has been an employee at US Bank Stadium for over nine years. Jason likes his position in customer service because "I like working with people." Jason has excellent interpersonal skills. He has extensive knowledge in sports, entertainment, and documentaries. Jason can speak easily on any subject.

Jason states that working in the community gives him "purpose" and extra income. Being a people person helps Jason become part of the community.

Jason is also an election judge. He lives in Dakota County and works as an election judge in Inver Grove Heights. This position also gives Jason a sense of purpose. Jason is pursuing a degree in political science. The election judging fits with his degree.

"While repetitiveness can get old for some people, others absolutely thrive and crave this. Finding a job that relies on repetitiveness like scooping, weighing, shaping, and sometimes filling cookies, has been perfect. Kevin is employed at both Jerry's Hardware in Bloomington and FedEx in Burnsville. He appreciates the variety these positions offer and aspires to work at FedEx full-time in the future. Kevin values his community involvement and enjoys meeting new people, including returning customers with whom he enjoys engaging. These employment opportunities have significantly enhanced Kevin's independence, allowing him to make investments in his future. His determination, coupled with the opportunities provided by local businesses, has contributed to his personal growth.
Kevin's floor manager from Jerry's Hardware reports that he has enjoyed working with Kevin. He states that Kevin consistently brings humor to the workplace and keeps everyone entertained. Sidney Barthel has been enjoying his job at the Target Center for some time now. For Sidney, it is about getting out and seeing people and the friends he has met at work. Not to mention, when he works, he gets a free buffet. Sidney also appreciates that it provides him with extra spending money. He likes to be out and about and be with people, and this job provides him with that. He enjoys seeing concerts and basketball games from time to time.

Doug started his own business in 2020, and he has been working nonstop ever since. He enjoys the freedom to take on whatever projects he wants, whenever he has time. Doug transfers old technology to new technology. He converts VHS tapes to DVD or transfers old film pictures by printing them out or storing them on DVD, CD, or a thumb drive. Doug is also great at making business cards, brochures, and flyers. His customers appreciate his hard work and frequently come back for more copies.

Katie works at Bath & Body Works at the Ridgedale Mall. She has been working there for the past 6 years. She said that this is the best job she has ever had. Katie said that she likes the following things about her job: helping customers, working with her co-workers and managers, and meeting new people every day. Katie said that her job provides her with the income to be able to live on her own, pay her bills, go out to eat, go on vacations, and most of all, be independent.

Shawn has been in his position with Lunds and Byerlys for 13 years at the Normandale location. He performs carry-out duties and expressed his enjoyment of the role, citing the opportunity to interact with customers. He also mentioned that his job provides a good income and offers him the independence to participate in various community activities and travel. Shawn further stated that he values the opportunity to socialize with his coworkers and remain active within the community where he resides.

Ben has worked at Minnesota Mental Health for one year. Ben said he likes having a job that helps people and fits his needs. He appreciates his part-time schedule that leaves him plenty of time to rest between shifts. Ben takes calls from Minnesota residents who are struggling with their mental health but are not experiencing an emergency. Ben hopes to continue working there for the foreseeable future.
