Apparently my team knows me a little too well… 😆

For Nursing Home Administrators Day, they surprised me with the ultimate “Administrator Survival Kit” which included:

☕ Coffee (because… obviously)
🥤 Diet Mt. Dew (for when the coffee stops working)
🍫 Snacks (stress management)
🕯 Candles (to stay calm during survey season)
🛋 A cozy blanket (for those “I’ll just sit for a minute” moments)
💆‍♀️ A head massager (clearly they’ve witnessed the stress firsthand)

I’m not sure if this was a gift… or a carefully curated plan to keep me functioning. Either way, I’m lucky to work with such a thoughtful (and hilarious) team.

A great dietitian does so much more than plan meals—they help keep our residents healthy, nourished, and enjoying the foods they love. From making sure special diets are just right to bringing creativity and care to every plate. Karen, we are so grateful for everything you do for our residents and team every single day.

Happy Employee Appreciation Day to the incredible team I get the privilege of working with every day. ❤️

Working in a nursing home isn’t easy. It takes patience, compassion, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. Every single day our team shows up for our residents, often going above and beyond in ways that most people will never see. From the nurses and aides providing hands-on care, to dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, therapy, and administration - it truly takes every one of you to make this place feel like home for the people we serve.

I am constantly humbled by the dedication, kindness, and teamwork I see in this building. Thank you for caring so deeply about our residents and about each other.
