This National Nurse Practitioners Week, we're celebrating the incredible NPs who make healthcare truly compassionate and personal.

At CRL Women's Imaging, our nurse practitioner combines clinical expertise with compassionate care in every patient interaction, providing not just treatment but comfort, advocacy, and meaningful support.

Whether it's someone like our own Christina Braatz, APRN, CNP, or the many other dedicated NPs we're honored to work alongside, these professionals transform healthcare from a service into something deeply human.

To every nurse practitioner making a difference—thank you. Your dedication, expertise, and compassionate presence matter more than words can express.

From serving their country to serving their community—the journey of a veteran never really ends.

This Veterans Day, we celebrate all veterans, and we're especially grateful for the women who have served in our armed forces. Women veterans bring unique perspectives, unshakeable resolve, and a deep commitment to mission that translates beautifully into healthcare.

At CRL Women's Imaging, some of our team members are veterans who understand what it means to show up with courage, compassion, and purpose. Every. Single. Day.

To all who have served: thank you for your sacrifice and your continued service to our communities.

Let's talk about something we don't discuss enough: lung cancer screening.

MYTH: "I quit smoking 10 years ago, so I'm in the clear."
REALITY: If you're between 50-80 and quit within the past 15 years, you may still benefit from screening.

MYTH: "I feel healthy, so I don't need it."
REALITY: Early lung cancer typically has no symptoms. Screening finds it before you feel anything.

MYTH: "Lung cancer screening must be complicated and uncomfortable."
REALITY: It's a simple, quick low-dose CT scan—no needles, no prep, usually takes less than a minute.

This National Lung Cancer Screening Day, we're encouraging women to have conversations about their lung health. You advocate for everyone else's health—it's time to advocate for your own.

Think you might qualify? Talk with your doctor about whether lung cancer screening is right for you.

Today is International Day of Radiology, and we're thinking about the moment that changed everything for women's health.

129 years ago today—November 8, 1895—Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays completely by accident. Within weeks, his wife became one of the first people ever X-rayed, and she famously said after seeing the image of her own hand, "I have seen my death."

But here's what we see: LIFE.

What started as a mysterious discovery has evolved into the technology that helps us detect breast cancer early—when it's most treatable. That grainy first X-ray paved the way for the 3D mammography, ultrasound, and advanced imaging we use today to catch what the eye can't see.

Every woman who schedules her mammogram is honoring that legacy of curiosity and care. Every early detection is a victory that Röntgen could have only dreamed of.

At CRL Women's Imaging, we're proud to be part of this incredible story. As an ACR-designated Breast Center of Excellence, we use the latest technology—but what matters most is YOU. Our board-certified breast imaging specialists and patient navigators are here to support you with compassion, from your first appointment and beyond.

So here's to the women who show up for themselves. Here's to the friends who come together for "Bring a Friend" mammogram appointments. And here's to every radiologist, technologist, and healthcare professional who helps us see what matters most: your health, your peace of mind, and your future.

When was the last time you scheduled your mammogram?

We spend our days caring for others—catching things early, providing answers, offering reassurance. But when was the last time you checked in with yourself?

Stress has a way of accumulating quietly. Between appointments, family obligations, and the mental load of simply keeping everything running, it's easy to put your own well-being last. This National Stress Awareness Day, we want to remind you that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's necessary.

Your body is incredibly resilient, but it also needs rest, boundaries, and grace. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone. And if you've been waiting for permission to slow down, consider this it.

You deserve the same compassion you give to everyone else.

To our radiologic technologists,

This week is National Radiologic Technology Week, but honestly, we should be thanking you every week.

You're the ones who put patients at ease when they're nervous, who take the time to get the positioning just right, and who work hand-in-hand with our radiologists to make sure every patient receives the care and attention they deserve. Whether you're here with us at CRL Women's Imaging or at one of our hospital partners, you make this work possible.

We see the skill you bring to every exam, the dedication you show during difficult callbacks, and the compassion you give to every patient who walks through the door. It doesn't go unnoticed.
Thank you for showing up and doing what you do so well.
