If you struggle with conflict, I have good news for you.

I used to avoid hard conversations. Like, really avoid them.

I'd ignore it. I'd try to wait it out. I'd try to convince myself that everything was ok.

It's not that I didn't know what I wanted or what to do. I just couldn't trust myself to handle the moment.

When I finally learned how the nervous system works, it changed everything.

Those conversations are still sometimes hard, but you're a much better leader when you're not fighting yourself.

Those hidden, off the beaten track places are the best.

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to find unique coffee shops or cafes.

I found this one today, in the lower level of a block of buildings.

The front had these quotes, inspirational messages to inspire you.

I should be further ahead by now.

This story often runs through my mind.

And you know what I do? I grind harder.

None of that is helpful as I lose clarity and true focus.

What’s actually happening is simple.

Your unconscious is running an old pattern built around urgency, pressure, and fear of falling behind.

When you slow down, that pattern gets loud.

So I push harder instead of listening.

Here’s the truth:

You don’t need more pressure, you need more presence.

When you’re present, your decisions get clear.

Your performance gets cleaner.

Your confidence rises on its own.

Last week at an AGC event, I ran into a woman I hadn’t seen since she went through the Next Level Experience.

To be honest, I had been a little concerned after that session. She didn’t look like she had a good experience, and part of me wondered if the work landed for her.

So when she recognized me and walked over, I didn't know what to expect.

Then she smiled.

She told me she had just gotten a new job.

She said she used the process she created from the Next Level Experience.

She kept coming back to the four qualities she uncovered that day. Before her second interview, she activated them, walked in grounded and clear, and crushed it.

Hearing that felt good. Not because of the “result,” but because she reclaimed something in herself that day. Sometimes people look quiet or uncertain after this work, and it turns out they’re integrating more than I realize.

Moments like this remind me why I do this. You never know which internal shift becomes the one that changes everything.

You can't think your way out of stress.

That's what most people try, but the fastest way back to clarity isn’t in your head.

It's in the body. Specifically, it’s in your breath.

I came across this article today, and it breaks down something I share with every one of my clients:

Slow, intentional breathing lowers cortisol, steadies your emotions, and brings your focus back online.

It’s simple, and it’s powerful.

It’s one of the most reliable ways to Reset before an important conversation, a presentation, or a tough decision.

I spent the morning at a networking event and talked with a couple of professionals about the power of the mind.

We talked about how much of our day is run on autopilot.
