March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month 🧡 — a month that means so much to our families.

We’re grateful to collaborate with Barber National Institute, who will be joining us as a vendor at the Disability Resource Fair of NWPA, 501(c)(3). Their events this month are a wonderful way to celebrate abilities, advocacy, and inclusion across our region.

Take a look at what they have planned and consider attending one of their free community events!

Some things look simple to other people.
A hotel night. A quick trip. A change in routine.

For some families, those “simple” things take weeks of preparation.
Social stories. Practice runs. Backup plans. Deep breaths at 1:30am.

If this is you — we see you.
We get it.

It’s hard.
And you’re doing better than you think. 🤍

02/28/2026

Traveling with a child with additional needs takes preparation most people never see.

We practiced. We planned. We packed comfort.

Tonight we try. 💛

Not everything is easy. But everything is worth it.

Follow for Part 2 in the morning.

✨ Town Highlight: Titusville, PA ✨

One of the goals of our Town Highlights is to show families — especially those raising children with disabilities — that you don’t have to travel far to have a great day out. You can stay in your own town (or the next one over), support local businesses, and feel comfortable doing it.

We recently spent the day in Titusville and visited Fable Tree Bookshop and Missy's Arcade Restaurant — both women-owned businesses. 💙

Noah did great. We browsed books, had a delicious meal, and just enjoyed being out together as a family. Those simple moments matter.

We’re so grateful to these businesses for donating gift cards that we’ll be giving away at the Disability Resource Fair of NWPA. Supporting inclusive, welcoming local spots is exactly what community is about.

Titusville showed up. ❣️

Today Neelym and I had the opportunity to attend a drum circle hosted by Band Together Erie 🥁💙

What a beautiful reminder that inclusion can be simple, powerful, and joyful. Music has a way of bringing everyone into the circle exactly as they are.

This is exactly why we’re so passionate about building the Disability Resource Fair of NWPA — highlighting inclusive spaces and community events where our families feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.

Thank you, Band Together Erie, for creating a space where every beat belongs. 💙

On National Caregivers Day, we honor the ones who carry so much — often quietly.

At the Disability Resource Fair of NWPA, we’re not just connecting families to resources for their loved ones. We’re creating a Caregiver’s Corner just for YOU.

Because support shouldn’t stop at the child.

You deserve care, too. 💙
