Angels of Love 2026 Summer Youth Programs Coming to a City Near YOU

Exciting news! This summer, Angels of Love is bringing our empowering youth programs to a city near you! Throughout June and July, we’ll be hosting our signature youth programs in a different city each week, offering engaging and impactful sessions for children and teens. Dates are filling up fast. Angels of Love is a non-profit organization which provides free services to victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking across Hidalgo County.

Angels of Love’s vision is to extend itself throughout the Rio Grande Valley with not only providing advocacy, legal advocacy, financial literacy, empowerment classes, teen dating violence Expect Respect Program, legal services, parenting classes, counseling, emotional wellness programs, youth programs and Emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence.

💙 Bluebonnet Out in the Community 💙

This past weekend, members of the Bluebonnet Counseling and Assessment Center team were proud to participate in the David Chavana Edinburg 10K.

The race is a meaningful reminder of David’s love for the Edinburg community and his lasting impact in bringing people together through events that promote connection, health, and local pride. His legacy continues to live on in moments like these.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another—on the course and beyond. 🌿

This week, our team came together to celebrate a combined baby shower for two of our wonderful team members—and it was truly double the joy.

✨ Please join us in welcoming Andrew Dials, MA, LPA-Independent, to the Bluebonnet Counseling and Assessment Center team! ✨

Andrew brings over five years of experience providing thoughtful, confidential psychological services to adults and older adolescents. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Andrew is known for creating a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. His work focuses on helping individuals navigate emotional distress, life transitions, and complex psychological challenges while fostering insight, resilience, and meaningful change. He individualizes care using evidence-informed approaches tailored to each client’s goals and needs.

In addition to psychotherapy, Andrew offers comprehensive psychological assessment services, including evaluations for ADHD, learning disorders, neuropsychological concerns, dyslexia, fitness-for-duty, diagnostic clarification, and academic or testing accommodations.

Andrew practices under the supervision of Dr. Erica Ann Perez. We’re excited to have him as part of the Bluebonnet team and the care we provide to our community 💙

APA Stress in America™ 2025: A Crisis of Connection

At Bluebonnet Counseling & Assessment Center, we see every day how stress, disconnection, and uncertainty impact the well-being of individuals and families in our community. The American Psychological Association’s Stress in America 2025 report highlights just how widespread these experiences have become.

Key Findings from APA’s 2025 Report

62% of U.S. adults say societal division is a major source of stress.

Nearly half of Americans report loneliness—feeling isolated, left out, or lacking companionship.

Those most stressed by division are far more likely to experience anxiety, fatigue, headaches, and chronic health conditions.

Concerns about the nation’s future remain high, especially among young adults and parents.

Stress about misinformation and AI has increased dramatically since last year.

A Message for Our Community

Even with these challenges, the report also highlights resilience: most adults remain hopeful, believe in their ability to build a meaningful life, and feel responsible for shaping a better future.

At Bluebonnet, we remain committed to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive mental health care that supports connection, emotional well-being, and healthier communities across the Rio Grande Valley.

On November 1, our team at Bluebonnet Counseling and Assessment Center had the privilege of attending and supporting Shrink Box Foundation’s 2025 Gala, Unmasking Stigma.

As a trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice, we are deeply committed to expanding access to quality mental health care and supporting organizations that are doing the same. Shrink Box continues to uplift our community through advocacy, education, and meaningful support for those navigating mental health challenges.

It was a thoughtful and inspiring evening of connection and celebration. We are grateful for opportunities to show up together as a team and to stand alongside partners who share our dedication to compassionate, community-centered care.
