📢 Big news alert! 📢 Introducing Dr. Amanda Cantu, our brilliant new endocrinologist! Originally from McAllen, Texas, she holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. Driven by her passion for medicine, she pursued her medical education at the Universidad Mexico Americana del Norte, Escuela de Ciencas De la Salud in Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico.

Following that, Dr. Cantu completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley-Valley Baptist Medical Center (UTRGV-VBMC) in Harlingen, Texas, under the guidance of Dr. James Hanley. Her dedication to Endocrinology led her to pursue a fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland, Texas, in 2020, mentored by Dr. James Burks.

A proud member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the Endocrine Society, Dr. Cantu is double-board certified in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. With a compassionate heart, she is fully committed to providing exceptional care to the individuals in the Rio Grande Valley. Help us extend a warm welcome to her! 🌟
