Edinburg EDC Business Development Managers Daniel Garza and Robert Reyes attended a roundtable discussion focused on recent immigration enforcement in the Rio Grande Valley and the economic challenges it is creating for local industries, including construction and other businesses.

We appreciate the opportunity to hear directly from Henry Cuellar, U.S. Congressman, and Monica De La Cruz, U.S. Congresswoman.

Thank you to the South Texas Builders Association for hosting this important conversation.

✨ FLIP Friday ✨

Today we’re highlighting 107 Food Mart, a locally owned convenience store, gas station, and Mexican fast-food restaurant located at the corner of University Drive and Jackson Road.

📍 2115 W. University Dr., Edinburg, TX

Opened in 2009, 107 Food Mart has continuously served the Edinburg community with the support of the City of Edinburg and currently employs nine team members. The business is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Through the EDC’s Façade and Lot Improvement Program (FLIP), the property completed roof repairs, exterior painting, parking lot restriping, and installed new gutters — enhancing both safety and appearance.

Congratulations to co-owners Joseph Biju and Anthony Shaju on these improvements!
