Amara Hospice is the first stand-alone full-service hospice agency in the Rio Grande Valley, dedicated to providing quality care for those with life-limiting illnesses. From routine care in the patient’s home, to inpatient hospice care at Amara’s facility, we will do everything we can to make your loved one comfortable at the end of their life. At Amara Hospice we believe that providing the best care for a patient includes care for the family as well. Our goal is to provide you and your loved one with support and care in all areas at this difficult time. Our highly skilled caregivers have dedicated their lives to caring for people with life-limiting illnesses and to providing support to their families. Our care team consists of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, chaplains, social workers, hospice aids, physicians, family members and volunteers. Together we can tend to all of the needs of your love one, so you can focus on giving your love and comfort. Overlooking a six acre pond, Amara’s inpatient facility includes 18 private suites (each with a private bathroom), a fully equipped family kitchen, group dining room, family room, meditation room, children’s play area and relaxing sunroom. Our facility is open to families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We strive to provide comfort and compassion to your love one by making them feel at home.
