"HEADS-UP is dedicated to promote awareness while educating students in the areas of sexual responsibility, substance abuse, mental health, and well-being." We host tablings and events on the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses to educate students on better health practices. We respect the rights of all students to make their own choices regarding behaviors that affect their health. As peer educators, it is our mission to refer students to corresponding resources in efforts to create a healthier environment for the student body at UTRGV. Increase health education presentations to students by 5% per year.
2. Periodically identify student's health education needs.
3. Provide health education in topics of student's interests, including, but not limited to: wellness, alcohol and drugs abuse, sexual responsibility, and life skills. The UTRGV Health Services department aids with our mission to provide better health education and services at our university. Clinic Locations:
