🏥 We're thrilled to update you on the UT Health RGV Cancer and Surgery Center! This $145 million facility is set to revolutionize cancer care in the Rio Grande Valley, with doors opening in early 2025. 🛠️

The state-of-the-art facility will offer several oncology services, such as diagnostic imaging, infusion therapy, and outpatient cancer care, and will feature cutting-edge treatment options and compassionate care for Valley patients.

🌟 "The opening of our cancer center is a significant step in fulfilling our commitment to transforming healthcare in the Rio Grande Valley," says Dr. Michael Hocker, Senior Vice President of UT Health RGV.

By providing comprehensive cancer care right here in our community, we alleviate the need for Valley residents to travel far for essential healthcare.

We will also soon be expanding our current services, including new chemotherapy infusions—a critical service that will help close the gap in comprehensive oncological care and treatment for Valley patients.

Construction on the $145 million UT Health RGV Cancer and Surgery Center is on track for completion in the last quarter of 2024, with patient access starting in February 2025. The project, which is funded primarily by the University of Texas System, will provide expanded offerings in cancer care.
