🩵 On February 21st, our APhA-ASP and HPSA team had the privilege of participating in DHR Health’s 16th Annual Community Health Fair, a collaboration led by Operación Farmacia.

Altogether, we educated, screened, and vaccinated 267 patients — 113 more than last year’s fair. We are incredibly proud of our growth and grateful to the DHR Health pharmacy team for facilitating this opportunity to support the RGV community. Until next year!

Love Every Step Challenge has officially come to a close 👟💕

A huge thank you to all UHCOP students, staff, faculty, family, and friends who participated and helped make this event such a success. Your commitment to staying active and prioritizing heart health truly made every step count.

Huge thank you to all UHCOP students, faculty, staff, family, and friends for participating in Operation Heart Love Every Step and for supporting the American Heart Association while getting your bodies moving.

🎉 Congrats to Brinlee Freeman, Diana Davila, and Kalyn Chan for being our Top 3 student steppers this week.

🔥 Only one more week until the competition ends. The top 15 student steppers will be entered into the raffle for prizes, so every step counts.

APhA-ASP x HPSA is heading to Rio Grande Valley!

We have the incredibly special opportunity to return to the 16th Annual DHR Health Community Fair this weekend, where we will provide free health screenings and patient education on chronic disease states prevalent in the RGV population.

This is a meaningful way to extend our outreach beyond Houston, and we want to thank the incredible faculty and pharmacy team at DHR Health for giving us the privilege to give back to this community. 💙

🎓 Class of 2026 - Graduation Cords!
If you meet the following requirements, you are eligible to receive an APhA-ASP graduation cord:
- Be an APhA-ASP member for at least 3 years
- Attend 2 national or regional APhA-ASP meetings (MRM, Annual Meeting, SLI, TPA Conference, etc.)
- Attend 8 professional APhA-ASP events during your membership
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5

If you meet all requirements, please complete the form by March 13 at 11:59 PM for final verification. Don’t miss the chance to celebrate your involvement and achievements at graduation!

Operation Heart hosted an interactive tabling event called Swipe Right On Heart Health to promote cardiovascular awareness among UHCOP students, staff, and faculty.

With a Valentine themed approach, we highlighted key prevention strategies and lifestyle habits that support long term heart wellness through engaging discussions and social media outreach.
