A Gospel Reflection: ๐‘ญ๐’“๐’๐’Ž ๐‘ต๐’†๐’˜ ๐‘จ๐’ˆ๐’† ๐’•๐’ ๐‘ต๐’†๐’˜ ๐‘ญ๐’‚๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ โ€” ๐‘น๐’†๐’”๐’•๐’๐’“๐’†๐’… ๐‘ฐ๐’๐’•๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ณ๐’Š๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’• โœจ

Many of us once searched for healing and meaning in New Age practicesโ€”
in energy work, crystals, tarot/oracle, manifestation, astrology, reiki, soundโ€‘baths, meditation rituals, and anything that promised peace or enlightenment.
They looked bright.
They felt spiritual.
They seemed healing.

But behind the glow was a darkness we could not see at first.

What appeared comforting for a moment eventually brought spiritual chaos, emotional confusion, and a heaviness we couldnโ€™t explain. The enemy uses the appearance of light to draw people inโ€”yet the result is always the same:

It is not true healing.
It is not true peace.
It is not the true Light.

Because only Jesus restores the soul.

Jesusโ€”
the true Light,
the true Healer,
the true Redeemerโ€”
reaches into places of the heart that no ritual, vibration, or โ€œenergy alignmentโ€ could ever reach.
Everything the New Age imitates, He fulfills in truth.

When we turn away from what quietly harms us and surrender fully to Christ, something powerful happens:
He restores what was broken.
He heals what was wounded.
He brings clarity where confusion ruled.
He lifts us out of the spiritual fog and breaks the chains of deception.

He pulls us out of darknessโ€”
and brings us into His marvelous, holy Light.

New Age practices create spiritual darkness and chaos in our lives.
They offer false comfort, false clarity, and false healing. It is New Age Deception.
But Jesus brings real freedom, real peace, and real transformation.

My prayer today is for every heart still searching in the wrong placesโ€”
for those wrestling with confusion, for those sensing the emptiness beneath the surface, and for those who feel torn between spiritual experiences and Godโ€™s voice calling them home.

To anyone still searching or feeling tornโ€”
your story is not over.
Godโ€™s LOVE is stronger than your past, deeper than your confusion, and brighter than any imitation of light youโ€™ve encountered. โ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

Jesus is not calling you to shameโ€”

The confusion, the searching, the spiritual exhaustionโ€ฆyou donโ€™t have to carry any of it anymore. Jesus meets you right where you are,
with real healing,
real clarity,
and real freedom.

What the New Age couldnโ€™t answer, Jesus restores. What the enemy distorted, Jesus makes whole.
Your past doesnโ€™t disqualify youโ€”He can use your testimony to bring light to others still searching.

Keep walking.
Keep trusting.

โ€œIn my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles.โ€ Ps 34:6 NLT

โ€œRescue Meโ€

It had been twenty-five years since Fontella Bassโ€™s rhythm and blues single โ€œRescue Meโ€ hit number one on the charts. She had no career to speak of, and she was penniless, tired, and cold. The only heat in her house came from a gas stove in the kitchen. She had strayed from her faith and the church where she started singing gospel songs as a child. As she prayed, Fontella asked God for โ€œa signโ€ to confirm that He heard her. Suddenly, she heard her hit song โ€œRescue Meโ€ on a television commercial! To her, it was as if โ€œthe Lord had stepped right into my world!โ€ Fontella was unaware that American Express had been using her song in a commercial and hadnโ€™t been able to locate her to pay royalties. Not only did she receive back-royalties, but new opportunities also began to open for her to sing. Shortly after that, she released a new album. But the best news is that she renewed her relationship with the Lord. โ€œFor so many years I tried doing it on my own, and it didnโ€™t work,โ€ she said. โ€œThen I took it out of my hands and turned it over to Him, and now everythingโ€™s happening.โ€ The psalmist David wrote: โ€œIn my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened, he saved me from all my troublesโ€ฆTaste and see that the Lord is good. You chased crystals and tarot, astrology and oracle cards, psychics and energy work, sound baths and guided meditations, manifestations and signs โ€” each one promising freedom, clarity, truth.

But every path left you emptier.
Every ritual left you hungrier.
Every โ€œspiritual upgradeโ€ left you more broken inside.

Because the New Age can imitate light โ€”
but it cannot ๐’‰๐’†๐’‚๐’.
It cannot ๐’…๐’†๐’๐’Š๐’—๐’†๐’“.
It cannot ๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’”๐’‡๐’๐’“๐’Ž.
And then everything changed.

Not a vibration. Not the โ€œuniverse.โ€

When we drift into comfort and compromise, our faith cools without us noticing. God calls us back to a faith that is alive, intentional, and surrendered.
