The body’s intelligence often speaks through sensation before thought can catch up, becoming a profound tool for self-discovery and wisdom. Our bodies hold the stories of our lives - in the tension patterns of our muscles, in the way we hold ourselves, in the areas we unconsciously guard or protect. When we’re stressed, it may manifest as tension in our shoulders; when we’re nervous, our stomach may tighten; when we’re at peace, our breathing naturally deepens. Learning to read these physical cues becomes a kind of intimate dialogue with our own being, allowing us to understand ourselves not just through our thoughts and memories, but through the living history written in our very cells.
Through this deepening practice of yoga, embodied awareness, we begin to heal the artificial split between body and mind that has dominated prominent Western thought for centuries. We discover that consciousness isn’t limited to thoughts - it permeates every cell, every sensation, every subtle movement of our being. The body becomes not just an object to be observed but a living field of awareness, a gateway to the present moment, and a bridge to our deepest nature.”
One of the meanings of embody is “to make part of a body”. And the Embodiment Meditation practice is way of consciously reconnecting our bodies and minds together, where the mind hears what the body says. YOGA - the art and practice of finding the healing that being rooted in our bodies offers.
