👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 National Day of Parents | July 27, 2025 👩‍👦‍👦

Being a parent is never easy—but parenting while stressed takes unimaginable strength, sacrifice, and resilience. At JRF, we see that every day.
We see the moms skipping meals so their kids can eat. The dads working two jobs and still struggling to afford child care. The caregivers doing everything they can to give their children a better future—often with too little support.

That’s why we’re here.

At JRF, our mission to eradicate poverty in Middlesex County is also a mission to stand with parents—to offer them the tools, resources, and hope they need to raise healthy, thriving families. Whether it’s access to food, housing support, early childhood education, or workforce training, we’re committed to making parenting just a little easier and a lot less lonely.

💙 Today, we honor every parent doing their best under the hardest conditions—and we reaffirm our commitment to walking beside them.

🧘‍♀️ International Self-Care Day

Self-care isn’t selfish — it’s essential. Studies show that consistent self-care can reduce anxiety, boost productivity, and improve overall physical and mental health. 💙

At JRF, we recognize that true self-care starts with support. That’s why our programs are designed to help alleviate the burdens on families, from health care and housing assistance to food access and education — so you can focus more on your well-being.

Let today be a reminder: taking care of yourself is a step toward a stronger, healthier community.

🎓 Big congratulations to our Alternative Education Institute (AEI) graduates! Last Friday the 13th was a day of celebration — 27 students proudly earned their New Jersey State High School Equivalency Diploma after months of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Nothing can stop them now! 💪✨

The AEI program is a comprehensive educational experience delivered in a non-traditional learning environment for youth (ages 16–17 with parental consent) and adults. In addition to helping students earn their diploma, AEI continues to support them with post-secondary education, trade school, and employment opportunities.

Special thanks to our incredible educators — Wendy Medina and Khadijah Roundtree-Bruton — and to Program Director Tawayna Bailey for their leadership, commitment, and care every step of the way. 🙌📚

The Jewish Renaissance Foundation (JRF) Proudly Recognizes Men’s Health Month — June 2025
Men’s Health Week: June 9–15, 2025

This year’s national theme, “Closing the Lifespan Gender Gap & Addressing the Empathy Gap,” calls on all of us to take action to support the physical, mental, and emotional health of men of all ages.

At the JRF, our mission as a Community Action Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center is closely aligned with improving men’s health. Through access to quality healthcare, mental health support, and family and community services, we recognize that stronger men build stronger families and healthier communities.

Did You Know?
🔸The average man’s life expectancy is six years shorter than a woman’s — a gap driven largely by preventable health challenges.
🔸Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and su***de are among the most pressing but underfunded and under-discussed health issues facing men today.
🔸Addressing these disparities begins with awareness — and empathy.

Let’s take action together — prioritizing men’s health starts now.
