Where are you from?
I am from Searcy, Arkansas.

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy?
One of my mentors is an LPC, so his involvement in the therapy world has inspired me to be an LMFT. I also hope to serve as a Youth Minister one day and would apply the knowledge and experience I gain through this program to that work. 

What is a fun fact about you?
I love the outdoors. Any time I get to hunt or fish is a good day. 

What is your favorite book, tv show, or movie?
My favorite book is Letters to the Church by Francis Chan

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work?
To show love and support through a listening/encouraging ear.

Terrell is next up for introductions🎉🎉🎉

What’s your name and where are you from? 
Terrell Lufburrow, I was born and raised in Abilene, TX. I attended Texas A&M University for my Undergrad where I met my husband. We lived in Houston, TX for 10 years and Corpus Christi, TX for 4 years. We moved to Oklahoma in the Fall of 2024 and we are excited to be new Oklahomans.

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy? 
I’ve been a Children’s Ministry Director for over a decade, along with directing a preschool and working for a non-profit in foster care. Through these experiences, I began to see the importance of a healthy home and wanted to pursue a career providing resources and support for families. 

What’s a fun fact about you? 
Although I’m a mother of three wonderful children, I haven’t lost my competitive edge. I love to play golf and have wakeboarded from an early age. If all else fails, I’m always happy by a body of water or being outdoors. 

Favorite book, movie, or TV show? 
My favorite book is The Last Bookshop in London, however the title of “favorite book” is always subject to change.

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work? 
I hope my work allows me to gain specific tools in order to help build a strong foundation for marriages and families to thrive.

Where are you from?
I am from Cherokee, Oklahoma

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy?
My therapist has inspired me to pursue marriage and family therapy more than anyone else. I used to be skeptical about whether therapy could really make a difference, but she has changed my life for the better. Because she poured into me, I see how much of a difference one person can make by creating a space where someone feels safe and seen.

What is a fun fact about you?
I can juggle.

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work?
I believe relationships are our greatest source of both joy and pain, not just with others but also in how we view ourselves. If I can help people navigate their lives, their relationships, and the way they see themselves, I would consider that a life well lived.

Where are you from?
I am from Piedmont, Oklahoma

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy?
I am passionate about helping people understand each other’s perspectives and build stronger, more meaningful relationships. In my own life, a therapist helped me navigate some difficult relationship situations, and I hope to be able to help others in the same way. I am excited to grow as a marriage and family therapist to support communities in meaningful ways.

What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show?
Book- Redeeming Love
Movie- Wonder Woman

What is a fun fact about you?
I am a children’s author and have two published books.

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work?
I’m really looking forward to teaming up with couples and children to help families build healthier relationships and tackle their challenges together. I also want to push for trauma-informed programs in communities to make a real difference for families.

Where are you from?
I am from Luther, Oklahoma

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy?
Originally, I wanted to work with adults but with time, my heart started to lean towards kids. After graduating college, I worked as a Care Coordinator for children and youth. Working with the kids and their families helped me realize my love for working with families and kids
What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show?
I am an anime fan. It’s hard to name a favorite!

What is a fun fact about you?
I have a one-eyed three-legged dog named cole. He’s 13 years old.

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work?
While working at a CCBHC, something that I often heard was, “As the clinicians, we may be in the drivers seat, but the client is telling us where they want to go. Our job is to simply help them get there safely.” I hope to help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges by providing support, tools, and safety to get the to their destination.

It’s time to introduce Kyleigh🎉🎉

Where are you from?
I am from Bixby, Oklahoma

What inspired you to pursue a career in marriage and family therapy?
I’ve always had a heart for ministry and walking alongside people through the highs and lows of life. Through my experiences in youth ministry, I realized how often students and families face deep, personal struggles. I wanted to be better equipped to help in those moments, and that’s what led me to MFT. I believe God has placed this path before me to help others find healing and hope through meaningful relationships.

What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show?
New Girl and Friends are my comfort shows I can always rewatch.

What is a fun fact about you?
I have a mini golden doodle named Mowgli

What kind of impact do you hope to make through your work?
I want to create safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether it’s helping a family work through conflict or encouraging someone to keep going, I hope to be someone who reflects Christ’s love and helps people move toward healing and growth.
