It’s that time of year when people are getting bug bites. Super common
Facts
They can look horrible and blister and cause significant swelling
It does NOT mean you or your house are dirty
They can be inside or outside and please don’t drive yourself crazy trying to figure out what bug bit you
At home treatments include Sarna Original (my favorite) and Benadryl and invest in good treatment for all your pets (my favs are Bravecto or NexGard) and regular pest control
And just because no one else isn’t getting them does not mean they can’t get you

We will always be happy to see you and when miserable we can prescribe prescription strength topical steroids and orals if needed!

Chemical peels are good for your skin! It’s great for fine lines and wrinkles, discoloration, even skin tone, and blackheads and whiteheads. They are best in a series every 4-6 weeks. We are also offering $50 peels with purchase of any filler.

In contrast to irritant contact dermatitis, this is true allergic allergic contact dermatitis. We see this commonly and classic history is the steroids aren’t helping anymore. When it is a true allergy there is nothing that will help other than avoidance of offending agent. More than likely it is something coming in contact with the skin that you have been “using forever”. Common causes are soaps, “all natural” products (don’t forget that poison ivy is all natural but we don’t want it on us), essential oils, jewelry, Neosporin (this is way over used), lotions/body products, Benadryl cream, essential oils of any type, and in this case shoe allergy. And with time it spreads to other areas and not just the area of contact.
