Peaceful Family Oklahoma (PFO) was created so that kids could be kids. Children with family members who struggle with the disease of addiction often feel alone, unsafe, and that they are to blame. PFS helps children find their voices, share their feelings, and shed their burdens. We help parents set their families on a new path to break the cycle of addiction. Join Peaceful Family Oklahoma in maki
ng it possible for a child to attend Oklahoma's only peer-to-peer, evidence-based program for children coping with the impact of their substance use disorder in their homes. Help that child learn:
- that their grown up’s addiction is not their fault
- how to safely explore and share their feelings
- how to begin healing
- how to stay safe in hard times
- to develop a self-care plan
No one is immune from addiction. Like any other chronic disorder, addiction does not discriminate by age, education level, income, ethnicity, background, gender, religion, or any other factor. And no one is naturally equipped to cope with the addiction of a loved one. PFO's curriculum was developed by the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. PFO is an affiliate of the National Association for Children of Addiction and a partner of the Partnership to End Addiction. Our programs are offered FREE of charge, with the generous support of our donors and sponsors.
