This week's employee spotlight is Kindal Connor!
Kindal was born and raised in Moore, Oklahoma, and has been an important part of the ICO family for 2½ years. She originally came to ICO to gain experience, but along the way, something bigger happened. After listening to patientsā stories and seeing the impact of community-based care firsthand, Kindal felt inspired to change her major to pre-med, with a strong focus on community health.
Kindal is passionate about meeting people where they are, especially when it comes to mental health. Sheās deeply interested in studying the disease of the mind and wants to be part of the solution for individuals who often feel unseen or unheard. Sheās currently planning to graduate in 2026, and her future is incredibly bright.
Her favorite part of working at ICO is the community. Through ICO, Kindal has met so many like-minded peopleāincluding her best friend, who is now also her roommate, a friendship that started right here at the clinic.
Outside of work, Kindal enjoys drawing, reading, and taking walks outdoors, finding peace in creativity and fresh air. If she could have lunch with anyone, it would be Michelle Obama. Sheād love to hear about her journey, what challenges she faced, what advice she might offer, and what her plans are now.
Fun fact: Kindal took Russian in college to fulfill her language credits! Her classes were super smallāonly 10 studentsāwhich made the experience even more unique.
We are incredibly thankful for Kindalās diligence, kindness, confidence, empathy, and even her stubbornness. She brings thoughtfulness and purpose to everything she does, and ICO is better because of her.
