Want to be inspired? Meet James. His active personal and professional life took a dramatic shift last February after suffering a severe open fracture of his left lower leg. Thanks to an excellent surgical and rehabilitation team, as well as the hard hard work he put in during physical therapy, James is getting back to the things he loves. This includes broadcasting UCO hockey games, being the team Chaplin, and returning to the ice himself.

Congratulations to the University of Central Oklahoma hockey team who won the 2021-2022 Western Collegiate Hockey League Championship and made it all the way to the finals at the National Tournament. The team is supported by OU Health providers, including orthopedic surgeon, Doug Rowles, M.D., who serves as the team physician and physical therapist, Ken Caldwell, DPT, who is the team's strength coach.

Happy President’s Day! Did you know? President Franklin D. Roosevelt contracted polio in 1921. By 1926 he began working with a physical therapist in Warm Springs, Georgia who utilized swimming and water exercises in the nearby thermal spring waters to help with his condition. He continued to exercise throughout his tenure as the 32nd U.S. President.
