It’s for all these reasons, and more, that I consider meditation a foundational pillar to good health. I used to think I didn’t have time for meditation but now I know I don’t have time NOT to do it—it’s become that integral in helping me manage all of my other many responsibilities and passions. ⁣

EVER FEEL LIKE NO MATTER HOW MUCH STRETCHING YOU DO, NOTHING HELPS? LIMITED MOTION ISN’T ALWAYS A RESULT OF LIMITED FLEXIBILITY/STRETCHINESS OF MUSCLE. THE PROBLEM IS LIKELY MOBILITY > FLEXIBILITY.

DOESN’T MATTER HOW STRETCHY THE UNDERLYING MUSCLE(S) IS/ARE..IF THE FASCIA SURROUNDING IT HAS BECOME COMPRESSED AND ADHERED, THE UNDERLYING STRUCTURE(S) (I.E. MUSCLES, VESSELS, NERVES, JOINTS) AREN’T GOING TO MOVE PROPERLY.

Barefoot 🦶 is key! It helps our brains keep our bodies connected to the ground and balanced! If your feet hurt, the worst thing you can do is put thick cushiony shoes between them and the ground or undergo surgery. Your feet hurt because you’ve developed mobility dysfunction (that I guarantee you likely don’t recognize) that needs to be normalized ASAP with things like myofascial DECOMPRESSION (negative pressure suction) FIRST and education on how each of the joints should move independently, as a group, while fixed on a surface, and while off the ground. Followed by mobility activities you can incorporate into your daily lives to allow you to KEEP that movement. Maintaining normal mobility and preventing injury starts from the toe joints, then the foot foot joints, then the ankle joints, and so on!! If your back hurts or doesn’t move like it used to, yet nobody has taken the time to assess the movement in your toe joints, I can almost guarantee you that you will not experience long term improvements from the treatments they provide.

Fix your feet first and take control back of your body!

From a design standpoint, the human foot is kind of a disaster. Although humans evolved to walk upright on two feet, our feet are prone to all kinds of injuries. So, why did natural selection give us this particular foot?

Convo with another client when bringing up how much of a game changer an automatic negative pressure suction tool would be to my treatment sessions and how absurd it is that it doesn’t exist already:

“You mean to tell me we’re sending people to freaking space, yet THIIIS [holding silicone cup and points to plastic cupping set] is the best we’ve come up with when it comes to fascial decompression?”

“Yes. I’m telling you. I’ve searched. That’s why I’m currently using a tiny dermasuction tool. I just need one the size of a handheld vacuum, and we’d be set.”

“Hold on, calling my patent attorney guy, we’re about to be millionaires.”

“Wait. 💩 Bad News: I found one. Someone in Finland beat us to it. Good news: we don’t have to wait for it to be engineered. Let’s just hope it works as well as I think it should.” 🤞🏼
