Back in June, Steve Chappell (from our Fremont clinic) and Erin O’Neill (from our First Hill clinic) spent a weekend with the Institute of Clinical Excellence, learning from the incredible Jason Lunden and Aaron Castonguay. After an intensive course covering road, gravel, and mountain bike fitting, they are officially MTI’s newest certified Professional Bike Fitters! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

Fall Rugby Season is back in full swing for Seattle Rugby Club (SRC) and we couldn't be more thrilled! 🏉 MTI's Sports Residents are eager to get back out on the field, where they can put their skills to the test and help provide field-side coverage to the players under the leadership of Greg Niven, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS. We're looking forward to an action-packed season of rugby, and we're honored to be a part of it!💪

Congratulations to Jo Haller, Ryker Penner and Uchechi Esonu on passing their APTA SCS exams and becoming Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialists! They join an elite group of just 3500 PTs in the world who have earned this distinction, with only 92 in Washington state and nine at MTI!

They are part of the group of 11 PTs to have completed MTI’s Sports Residency program since 2020, with a year of coursework, 150+ hours of mentoring, and 200 hours of sporting events coverage. Well done, Jo, Ryker and Uchechi! We are so proud!

Last week, some of our PTs (pictured left to right: Matt Wood, Greg Niven, Jo Haller and Matt Plantinga) went to the BEAR (Bridge-Enhanced ACL Repair) Protocol for Physical Therapists dinner hosted by Dr Tyler Nathe and Dr Dane Mickelson of Proliance Surgeons and Miach Orthopaedics. It was a great night of learning and they couldn't resist the opportunity to take a photo with the BEAR bear!
