September is Recovery Month!

At Northpoint, we’re committed to supporting your whole health—mind, body, and spirit. This , we’re honoring SAMHSA’s Week 1 theme of Health, and shining a light on our compassionate, comprehensive approach:

🏃‍♂️ Mind–body wellness: Yoga, exercise, art, music, and wellness workshops round out our holistic toolkit—nourishing not just recovery, but lasting resilience.

Your health journey doesn’t stop at sobriety—it’s about rebuilding a life of balance, connection, and well-being. This Recovery Month, let’s prioritize whole-health healing. You don’t have to go it alone.

Last weekend, we held our annual Alumni & Staff BBQ in Idaho, and it was a beautiful reminder of what recovery can build: community, connection, and lasting support.

We had one of our largest turnouts to date, with hundreds of alumni, their family and friends, and staff coming together to celebrate each person who has walked through our doors and each story of strength that Northpoint Recovery has been part of the past 10 years.

To all who joined us and those there in spirit, we thank you for the privilege to come alongside you in your journey. Your strength continues to inspire us, this year and every year.

We can’t celebrate our alumni enough, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going at our upcoming Alumni and Staff BBQs in Colorado, Washington, and Nebraska!

What are your favorite sober activities for the summertime? Comment below! 🤸

One challenge of early sobriety is finding new hobbies and activities that don’t involve substances. This isn’t because there aren’t many sober activities, but because it can take time to find new interests after spending a long time focused solely on substances.

There are plenty of new things to learn and enjoy, and maybe even some old things that have new life when sober! ☀️

What are some summertime activities you’d recommend that helped you in early sobriety? Were they new? Or were they old hobbies that took on new life? Comment below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

A decade of trust. 25,000+ stories of strength. And the clients who continue to show us what’s possible.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they take steps toward recovery. Every journey reminds us why we show up — to save lives and restore relationships — and what’s possible when people are met with compassion, support, and belief in their future.

As we celebrate 10 years this summer, we’re reflecting on the lives changed and the strength we’ve witnessed firsthand. Thank you to our clients for trusting us and letting us be part of your story.

When I finally decided to get the help for my Vicodin addiction, I really didn’t know what to do next. I mean, I knew that I needed to “get help”, but I wasn’t particularly sure what that meant. So I did my research to find out what sort of services would be best for me. I quickly found out, that what I wanted and needed wasn’t available in my hometown of Olympia, Washington. Every place that I called either (a) had a months-long waiting list, (b) didn’t offer the services I was looking for, or (c) didn’t accept my insurance. I needed help before I changed my mind. So, I broadened my horizons a little bit and looked outside of Olympia to see what other options Washington State had to offer. I honestly think that made ALL the difference.

However, some substances can stay in your system for weeks or even months. Factors such as age, weight, metabolism, and frequency of use can also affect how long a substance stays in your system.
