↓ my non-negotiable ↓

I had back to back losses. After my missed miscarriage, I knew that I needed to address some issues in my gut (I had norovirus earlier in the year) that had progressively gotten worse. After fixing my gut and reducing my inflammation, I conceived my rainbow baby.

❌You don’t need to have 3 losses to investigate.

❌You don’t need to wait a year before testing

❌Just because you conceive does not rule out your partner’s health

✅don’t wait to test- even basic labs can help identify red flags right off the bat. Anemia, inflammation, vitamin deficiency, metabolic issues can all be checked with simple blood draw

✅Test BOTH partners- it’s very common to see issues with s***m health. This can play a large role in miscarriage. You can order at-home s***m testing from sites like

✅Focus should be on reducing inflammation- inflammation can reduce egg/s***m quality, make it difficult for embryo to implant/progress, and can cause suboptimal hormone levels. Find what’s causing the inflammation.

I’ve seen many causes of miscarriage in my 8 years of practice. Sometimes it is simple, sometimes it’s more complex. However, identifying underlying health issues not only helps reduce risk of another loss but enhances the future health of your child.

Men’s health CAN contribute to miscarriage.

✅Share with a friend who may find this helpful.

I have an entire guide that give optimal ranges (and ways to address this) for 90+ markers including a semen analysis. Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the link! ⭐️

The health of your male partner plays a 50% role in the health of your future baby. This can impact ability to conceive and reduce risk of miscarriage.

👉These are 5 things to consider-

1. Heat exposure— tight briefs, frequent hot tub/bath use can all raise temp of te**is.

2. Ni****ne + m@rijuana use (includes e-cigs, ci******es, chew, gummies etc.)

3. Moderate to heavy alcohol consumption— 2-3+ drinks per day

4. Poor diet— processed food, fast food, fried food, high sugar diet.

5. Stress- use stress reduction techniques to help (meditation, prayer, yoga, mindfulness, etc.)

There are other factors to consider for a man’s overall health. I recommend s***m testing! You can add DNA fragmentation with their tests. This looks at the health and quality of the s***m.

Poor quality s***m has been associated with higher rates of miscarriages.

⭐️Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the lab guide with over 90+ markers I mentioned above (including a deep dive into semen analysis).

Remember, men’s health matters too! They make up 50% of the baby, it shouldn’t all fall on women.

If your ‘breakfast’ is coffee, your hormones are screaming for help.

Your hormones are built from protein and fat. No food = no building blocks. Add caffeine on top of that and you’re running on stress hormones all morning.

🚩No appetite in the morning? This isn’t normal, it’s a red flag for hormone dysfunction.

Instead, do this:
✅aim for 25-30g of protein at breakfast.
✅drink caffeine with your breakfast or after you eat
✅eat within the first couple hours of being awake

Plate it like this:
-1/4 of your plate with protein
-1/4 of your plate with carbs
-1/2 your plate with fruits/veggies.

I make a lot of scrambles for breakfast. Eggs, bacon, cheese, broccoli/spinach/peppers (whatever I have), and potatoes. also, if you’re like my husband and hate eggs, you can eat non-traditional breakfast food too 😉

You don’t need to quit coffee, just stop skipping meals. I promise you, you’ll feel sooo much better. (I get it, I’m a coffee girlie).

Tag your coffee-for-breakfast friend. (Or yourself 😅)

and this test IS not enough to see if you have an issue.

Your thyroid is what controls your metabolism. If it’s not functioning properly, it can affect your whole body.

For hormones to be “active” they must attach to receptor sites. There are receptors sites for thyroid hormones throughout the body.

-in the gut
-in the brain
-in the uterus
-in hair follicles

Poor thyroid function can lead to issues in these areas.

In regard to constipation, you might do ALL the things in the world to help your gut, but if your thyroid isn’t addressed, you might still suffer with constipation.

I see thyroid issues in sooooo many of my infertility/miscarriage cases (they are so often overlooked).

And TSH alone does not tell you enough. I’ve so often see normal TSH, but abnormal levels of other hormones.

these symptoms are common but absolutely not normal ↓

Low progesterone can be a result of numerous things
-poor ovulation/no ovulation
-hypothalamic amenorrhea (often seen post BC)
-too high testosterone
-insulin resistance
-abnormal cortisol output
-vitamin d deficiency
-poor gut health
-hypothyroidism
-and more

Whether you are trying to conceive or just don’t want to feel like garbage every month, your progesterone matters 👏

Comment HELP if you think this is an issue you need help with 💛

A few ways you can increase levels:
⭐️address root cause issues listed above should be #1 priority
⭐️B6 can help improve serotonin levels (mood) and GnRH production which supports ovulation. B6 also supports development of corpus luteum.
⭐️fiber helps regulate bowels, feeds beneficial bacteria and helps with detoxification of excess estrogen.
⭐️get 8 hours of sleep each night and reduce screen time usage. You might know this one, but this is key for foundational health.

Pinpointing the root cause can be hard, so if you’re looking for help with this- I gotchu.

Comment HELP and I’ll dm you and can answer any questions you have!
