I often find myself in disbelief of how far I’ve come. As a small-town girl with big dreams, I fantasized about the world beyond my horizon. I yearned to experience different cultures, histories, and landscapes. So, I spread my wings and left the nest at the first opportunity. The journey has been incredible, with moments that have left me breathless. While some may view me as fortunate or privileged, I’ve put in the hard work - balancing multiple jobs - to make travel a part of my life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. My first international trip taught me that firsthand experience trumps any book or classroom. Now, I’m thrilled to share this adventure with my 18-year-old niece, and I hope she’ll embrace the beauty of exploration.
