Our Story

Float Edwardsville is a wellness center serving the Edwardsville and St. Louis Metro area. Our staff prides itself on its ability to help others. We offer a variety of wellness services including: Float Therapy, Therapeutic Massage and Infrared Sauna Sessions. Our health-minded team includes an ownership couple and staff, with considerable experience in health and fitness. Owner Christopher Mckee, a 20-year Air Force veteran, is a licensed massage therapist, specializing in Deep Tissue, Swedish and Sports Therapy massage. With over 4,000 hours of massage experience, Christopher can provide either a relaxing experience to alleviate stress, or an athletic massage for sore muscles and healing. Owner Karen Swanner, is a former professional soccer referee and current marketing director, who is a coach, trainer and sports instructor. She is presently working on a third Master’s degree in Kinesiology, en route to her goal of a PhD in sports psychology.

Our staff includes, Taylor Bettis, a student studying exercise science at SIUE. His knowledge of health and wellness, make him a great asset to the team. Kyle Swanner, a graduate of Edwardsville High School, is a collegiate soccer player, athletic coach and trainer, who brings personal knowledge, through his experience in health and fitness. Angel Ikeda, who is a collegiate soccer player at SIUE rounds out the staff. She also has considerable experience in the health and fitness fields. We brought our health conscious staff aboard to assist our athletically-minded floaters with our knowledge and experience; and to provide increased support for our community!
