🌱Join us on Saturday, March 14 from 2:00–4:30 PM for a thoughtfully designed Ayurveda Workshop focused on bringing greater awareness and balance into your daily life. While yoga supports us on the mat, Ayurveda guides us beyond it — into our routines, nourishment, sleep patterns, energy levels, and overall well-being. It offers a practical framework for understanding why we feel the way we feel and how to create more harmony within.

During this workshop, we will explore:

• The foundational principles of Ayurveda
• An overview of the three doshas and their characteristics
• How to recognize signs of imbalance in the body and mind
• Practical ways to support your constitution through food and daily rhythm

Headstands. Let’s talk about expansion.

we’ve felt the shift. The conversations change. The cues evolve. Students come in saying, “I learned tripod years ago, or supported headstand(forearms/elbows down)” even when it never quite felt right in their body. And what we’re realizing more and more is this….it’s going to be different for everyone…inversion isn’t about compression. It’s about expansion.
Expansion through the shoulders.
Expansion through the upper back.
Expansion through the cervical spine.
When we invert and think “lift” instead of “press down,” everything reorganizes. The scapulae elevate and protract. The forearms/hands root. The ribs draw in. And suddenly the neck isn’t bearing weight — it’s lengthening. There’s space between the vertebrae instead of collapse into them.
Linking is the key. Shoulders link to core. Core links to legs. Forearms link to the earth. Nothing is isolated. Headstand becomes less about stacking bones and more about integrating systems and then magic in finding the line of gravity. A full-body conversation instead of a single point of pressure.
It’s not about forcing yourself upside down. It’s about creating upward energy while you’re inverted. A feeling of buoyancy. Of suspension. Of intelligent support.
Expansion creates safety.
Linking creates stability.
And when the body works as one connected unit, the neck can stay long, spacious, and free.

We are LOVING this trend in the YOGA world right now…Mats on the floor, emotions scattered everywhere, real life laid out right in front of us.
Anxiety. Grief. Growth. Burnout. Joy. Transition. Healing. It’s such a powerful visual reminder that every single person who walks into this room is carrying something. You cannot tell by looking at someone what chapter they’re in. And that’s exactly why YOGA matters. It softens us. It humbles us. It connects us.

You walk into the room exhausted.
You don’t feel flexible.
You’re distracted.
You almost didn’t come.
And you lay your mat down anyway.
That’s it.
That’s the practice.
Showing up for yourself isn’t loud. It’s not always aesthetic. Sometimes it looks like Child’s Pose instead of Crow. Sometimes it’s tears in savasana instead of sweat beads. Sometimes it’s choosing to stay when your mind wants to run.
It’s radical consistency over dramatic intensity.
It’s keeping a promise no one else can see.🙏💫

Twisted Tuesday!! 🥨

Let’s tell the truth… twists aren’t just about “detox.”
They’re about perspective.

In yoga, when we twist, we don’t force. We lengthen first. We create space. Then we rotate. That’s the magic. You don’t crank yourself into change…you grow tall enough to handle it.

Twists teach us how to move through life the same way.
Pause.
Breathe.
Create space.
Then respond.

They wring out tension we didn’t know we were holding. They wake up the spine. They massage the organs. They fire up digestion and circulation. But energetically? They help us release what we’ve outgrown.

And here’s the part no one talks about…twists demand honesty. You cannot fake your edge in a twist. Your body tells you exactly where you are.

So today, instead of “how deep can I go?”
Ask yourself:
What am I ready to let go of?
Where can I soften instead of force?

Lengthen.
Rotate.
Exhale.

Floor Bow Pose (Dhanurasana) 🖤

Sometimes the deepest heart openers aren’t about how flexible you are… they’re about how willing you are.

Floor Bow is powerful. It strengthens the back body, opens the chest and shoulders, stretches the hip flexors and quads, and wakes up energy from head to toe. When you press your shins back and lift your heart forward, you’re not just bending…you’re expanding.

It’s vulnerable. It’s fiery. It’s freeing.
