💗 Celebrating Dr. Triplett-Janssen! 💗

Today we had so much fun celebrating Dr. Alicia Triplett-Janssen with a baby shower right here at the office! 🍼✨

She is expecting a baby this June, and we couldn’t be more excited for her and her growing family as she prepares to welcome her third child. 💕

We’re so grateful to work alongside such an incredible doctor, leader, and person, and we loved taking a little time together over lunch to celebrate this special season in her life.

Join us in wishing Dr. TJ all the best as she gets ready for baby girl’s arrival! 👶🎀

Employee Spotlight – Carly Owens!

Today we’re celebrating Carly’s 3 year anniversary at Metro Eye Care.

Carly has a calm, straightforward approach that patients really trust. She listens, understands what people need, and helps them find incredible glasses that fit their personality.

She picks things up so quickly, follows through, and is someone we can always count on. She shows up, works hard, and makes a real impact every day. Carly is an essential part of our amazing team and we couldn’t imagine doing this without her.

• Has two younger siblings
• Learned to play three different instruments in high school 🎶

We’re excited to share that Metro Eye Care has recently upgraded to a new communication system to better serve you! This will allow us to improve texting, reminders, and overall communication with our patients.

As with any new system, there have been a few bumps along the way. Some of our recent text messages included a link to online scheduling that unfortunately did not work as expected. We’re actively working to fix this.

Metro Eye Care Holiday Food Drive

This holiday season, we’re coming together as a community to make a real difference. Many families in our area have had a challenging year, and we want to help lighten the load by collecting shelf-stable food items for those in need. We invite our patients, friends, and families to join us in giving back.

Most-Needed Items
• Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.)
• Peanut butter & jelly
• Cereal
• Canned soups
• Canned fruits
• Canned vegetables
• Dry pasta
• Boxed mac & cheese
• Protein or granola bars
• Other shelf-stable essentials

A donation box will be located at the front desk for easy drop-off.

Where Your Donations Go

All collected items will be donated to Operation Blessing in Wood River, IL. This organization not only serves individuals experiencing homelessness, but also provides food and assistance to families throughout our local communities.

Together, we can make a meaningful impact. Thank you for helping us support our neighbors during this season of giving!
