Congratulations to Patty on her new role as our Dining Service Director! We are so excited for her and incredibly grateful for the passion, dedication, and heart she brings to our community every single day.

Patty may not let us take her picture 📸 (so we had to get a little creative 😉), but her impact speaks for itself! She plays such an important role in making sure our residents enjoy not only delicious meals, but also a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Twice the style, twice the smiles! 😊

Our resident Doc and Allison from our therapy team showed up as “vest twins” today and we loved every minute of it! It made our time outside even more special as we enjoyed some fresh air and got our exercise in together.

Moments like these are what make life at Glenwood so much fun! 💙

We even caught the cutest moment on video—two little boys dancing right at our booth, and it absolutely made our day! 💃🕺 Moments like these are what it’s all about.

🐰🍌 The Easter Bunny made a special stop at Glenwood Assisted Living of Effingham—and he didn’t come empty-handed!

Our residents were all smiles as they received a fun (and healthy!) surprise… bananas from the Easter Bunny! 💛

A big THANK YOU to the Elks Lodge for bringing the bunny and spreading so much joy throughout our community. We truly appreciate your kindness and support—it made our day extra special!

Due to overwhelming demand, Glenwood Assisted Living is officially transforming our hallways into a high-speed racetrack 🏁

Residents will compete daily using scooters & wheelchairs—helmets encouraged, bragging rights guaranteed 😄

Staff members are currently in training as pit crew 🛠️

Let the races begin!!!

We’ve started a fun new monthly project here at The Glenwood, and it’s already a hit! 🎨✨

Each month, we set out large 3–4 foot coloring banners for everyone to enjoy. Some residents and staff stop by for a quick moment of creativity, while others spend the afternoon coloring together, laughing, and socializing.

It’s been so heartwarming to see these little moments bring people together and fill our community with even more joy! 💛

🎉We had the best time celebrating our March birthdays at The Glenwood! 🎉🎂

The cake was delicious, the smiles were endless, and the laughter could be heard all throughout the building! It’s always so special to gather together and celebrate our amazing residents and the joy they bring to our community.

Wednesday was a truly special and heartfelt afternoon at The Glenwood. 💙

The family of our beloved resident, Rod Kelley, joined us to serve ice cream and share a small, meaningful memorial in honor of his life and the time he spent with us here. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the memories, laughter, and kindness he brought to our community.

Rod will be deeply missed by residents and staff alike, but we are so grateful to his family for allowing us to be part of this touching tribute. Moments like these remind us just how special our Glenwood family truly is. 🍦✨
