December 15, 2025

It is with great sadness that the Morris Fire & Ambulance Protection District announces the off-duty death of Firefighter/EMT Aron Jaime, age 34. Aron was a 10-year member of the District and a full-time Firefighter/EMT since May 2025. Aron was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

Firefighter/EMT Jaime, a resident of Joliet, Illinois, proudly served the Morris Fire & Ambulance Protection District and was a dedicated public servant whose commitment to the community extended beyond his assigned shifts. He was a valued member of the District and will be remembered not only for his professionalism and dedication, but also for his personality and smile that could light up the darkest corner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, Illinois. A chapel service will take place at 7:00 p.m., with cremation rites to follow.

A first responder walk-through will be held at 6:00 p.m.

This loss is deeply felt throughout the District and the community. The Morris Fire & Ambulance Protection District asks the public to keep Firefighter/EMT Jaime’s family, friends, and fellow firefighters in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
