Today, April 4, 2026, marks the 77th anniversary of the St. Anthony Hospital fire. To respectfully remember those who perished and honor the strength and resilience of those who survived, we share with you this video interview with Anita Sidener, one of our last known St. Anthony’s Hospital fire survivors. We thank Anita for sharing with us her story of loss, strength through faith, and the support from her family and our community which helped her and others through this tragedy. Protecting our community starts at home. HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital now has a safe drug disposal bin located just inside the hospital’s main entrance to help prevent accidental ingestion or medication overdose.

The locked, secure bin is available for unused or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications during main entrance hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Properly disposing of medications helps keep our families and community safe. 💙
