Johnson Funeral Home Johnson Funeral Home was established in 1870 by Arthur Berriman Johnson. He then opened his own funeral home.

After returning home from the Civil War, he worked for a short time with a local undertaker. Family owned and operated for six generations, our mission remains to support each and every family with personalized care.

James Robert Bob Norris, 80, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Private family services will be held at a later date with burial at Watson Cemetery in Watson, IL. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.
