It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. Into the new year Maidens' Mother Soaping will be closing for good.

First off to the ones that have seen this grow over the last decade, a thousand times thank you!! You have been that fire that has kept me going with something I love so much.

Finally letting this business go is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. For small business artisans it has gotten harder and harder to navigate staying open and keeping true to what Maidens' Mother Soaping is and has always has been. I (Jess) built this tiny business like I do everything in life, with grit, passion and unbending loyalty. Sadly that's not how to run a business. With that I have to let Maidens' Mother Soaping run free into the sunset. Who knows what the future holds, maybe I will evolve and rebrand but for Maidens' Mother Soaping, she needs rest. 🤍

This page, other pages on other sites and the website (with no product) will be open for a few more weeks. If you need or want anything made please contact me. Once supplies are gone I will not be ordering any more and will only create for personal pleasure.

I love each and every one of you and this has been the greatest thing I've ever done on my own. Literally Maidens' Mother Soaping has been my soul. I'm beyond blessed to have been able to share that for the time I have.

Please going forward on buying products remember to ask all of the good questions, especially when it comes to soap and bath products!! True artisans will be more that happy to answer questions. We are passionate and true to our crafts. It shows in our work and will always have our touch on each and every product.

Here it is!! Maidens' Mother Soaping has created a Talk Death to Me Box for 2022 annual Cemetery Scavenger Hunt. This will be one of the prizes.

The box will contain a Sampler Soap Box, a 2 oz Rose Clay and Charcoal Mask, the ever popular Pumpkin Bomb (a treat or a trick?!) and just for this event: Talk Death to Me Bath Bomb.

This is one of my favorite annual events! It's international and fun for everyone. This year they are incorporating prizes. Yay! When they put the call out for crafters I was immediately intrigued and am thrilled to be adding a gift to this years scavenger hunt. If you haven't checked out TalkDeath please do! I'll be sharing a sneak peek in the next few days of what I will be sending. Happy October!!!

JUST cut newest batch of Rainbow Honey!

I went big with the batch so instead of 10 bars available there will be 30!!

It was a wild process and I always love that while the scent and palette are always the same but each batch is its own. I don't know what this one was planning, likely trouble, but I love it. It's now hanging out on the curing rack and will be ready sometime mid to late September.

The bar that will go out will be cleaned up and lovingly packaged.

I had the pleasure of working with 4 brilliant young women yesterday. They completely created this batch down to color, design and scent blend.

Apt 87 is a blend of sofisticated, fun, and bold blend of scents. The colors are fresh and remind me of what could be called boho-sunset. It's just a real cool bar and was a lot of fun watching these ladies bond over making.

I will share pictures once it is ready to cut. The creators have decided to donate proceeds from their batch to go to Savannah Center.

Maidens' Mother Soaping will always be an open and safe space. Today will be held for taking the last little bit of sodium hydroxide I have in my stock and making soap.

Whatever I create today will be sold for donations. I haven't decided where the donations will go so if you have insight please share.

It will only be donated to help lgbtq+, body autonomy rights, civil rights, basic needs (food, clothing and shelter) and organizations that facilitate for all.

I know the world seems dark but we have to muster up that light for each other. As a small business owner I feel responsible to speak out.

Today was diving into video making while cutting my newest soap, Holmes. The soap is lovely and the video was....Ok. lol

It's a big deal to step over that line of fear. Start small, torture your loved ones with your cringiness. Be overly dramatic about it but be bold and do that thing that brings you joy, share it. ❤️

Holmes is a broody looking bar with rich brown micas, charcoal and ground coconut shell; scented with to***co, bourbon and black tea. It's freshly cut and on the curing rack. It will be several weeks before I am comfortable selling it so keep an eye out for it.

Did your world suddenly start having rainbows pop up everywhere? Well here's some more! If you don't read further, One House Bath Bomb Presale!! Proceeds going to Equality Florida ( eqfl.org ) Each bomb will be 15$ flat, shipping (US) is included and 5$ from each will go to Equality Florida. Sales will be open until Friday the 10th or until we have 50 (wow!!) preorders.

It's June 1st and is the start of Pride month. The month of June isn't random. June 28th 1969 was the day that patrons of the Greenwich Village bar, The Stonewall Inn, said enough is enough and refused to back down to being a target of discrimination. Patrons didn't go quietly and with the crowds growing so did voice of the LGBTQ+ community as a whole.

While Stonewall wasn't the 1st stance it was the moment that propelled LGBTQ+ civil rights activism. Sadly even today in 2022 LGBTQ+ rights are still having to be fought for. June is the month that collectively the LGBTQ+ community and allies celebrate while still bringing awareness to the needs for equal rights.

I am a proud ally and am a staunch supporter and activist for LGBTQ+ rights. I have several individuals near and dear to me that are members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have personally seen the discrimination and fear of not being an equal member of society. It is something no one should ever have to experience, especially in America. We live in Florida where Transgender rights are in constant threat of discrimination and Transgender youths losing their medical care due to discrimination and misinformation. There is the constant threat of discrimination in public schools and from public officials that are responsible to protect all citizens. There are organizations and groups that try to pull together accurate information and work towards equality and protection for LGBTQ+ citizens. One of those is Equality Florida.

I know that you are here for soap and bath products, not activism BUT today is the day of the year that I will use every platform I have to show support. June is the month that every consumer has Pride thrown at them and I'm one of those businesses too. I don't believe in "rainbow consumerism" I was excited to create a product for Pride month I want it to benefit the LGBTQ+ community. That is why while I am selling a Pride bath bomb (It's awesome btw!) the money made from each sale will go to Equality Florida so they can keep up the amazing work they do here in Fl.

The wonderful Fandoms and Fairytales started this with their Pride Box, which is available on their site. www.fandomsandfairytales.com The One House Bath Bomb is included with the box and proceeds are going to 2 incredible groups: Pflag Niceville and Social Equity and Education Initiative.

One House Bath Bomb was inspired by story of magic and hope. The story involves groups called houses. This bath bomb is a representation that we are all One House, where everyone is equal and loved. The scent is our signature Rainbow Honey with Orange Blossom added. It is a beautiful scent inspired by the month of June to go with an exciting expressive bath bomb.

There is just One House and it is magical!! I'm thrilled to share another collab with Fandoms and Fairytales
I always love working with her. Besides being so talented she is a wonderful being, always pushing others to do good.
I jumped at the chance to join in to raise funds for and Being in Florida both groups are near and dear fighting the good fight with love and inclusion.

7 yrs of growth and creations! I'm trying to w**d this down, at least the recipes. What is that one item that you can't get enough of? What have I made that you are ready for?

I'm in a period of change and evolution; take part of that to guide me to make something you've been waiting for!!

It doesn't have to just be soap or bath products. If you know me you know I'm a "I can do that" crafter! Be bold! Challenge me!

The closest individuals to me know that procrastination and I are pretty much like an escaped cow in the road 😂 I wait for the cosmos to speak to me aka last minute panic deadline.

Have a trip down memory lane while you wait for me to get out of the middle of the road. One of my first soap bars. It's also one of my favorites. This was when I knew I was obsessed with soap making. Labeling and packaging is another story lol I will always hate that part. Man those fun sticker labels! Ugh.

Also sharing a gussied up picture of the most recent Black Raspberry Vanilla bar I made. Not my favorite but those drop swirls are divine.

I'm back in the studio so there will be new stuff posting. You will be spared yet another Gelatinous Cube post even though they are fantastic.

Thank you for sticking with this asphalt loving, defiant, freedom cow 😂 I must be doing something right for you all to put up with me this long. ❤️
