My experience covers a range of disorders with a specialization in trauma and grief. I have worked with individuals who suffer from mood disorders as well as personality disorders, particularly those with complex traumas and abuse in their histories. April Ebling MS, NCC, LPC: I specialize in working with children, teens, and families who are experiencing a variety of concerns, such as ADHD, Anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting, and school concerns. I have also worked adults. My approach to therapy is person-centered and solution-focused, as I support and encourage the client towards personal growth and change. September is Back to School time! 📚🚌✏️
Back to School pics and videos will be live streaming soon. Exciting and scary!
What we do not often talk about when snapping the fun first day of school pics is the anxiety that schoolers may feel. Often that feeling starts the night or even days before. Check in with your grade schoolers, tweens, and teens. Talk them through the experience. Listen to what they tell you or show you about how they feel in regards to school.

Do a self check, your energy impacts them more than you know. If you are worried and anxious, most likely they will pick up on that energy and radiate it.

Role play the first day, especially if they express worry about classmates,teachers, or schoolwork. Help them work out how they will manage it.

Build their confidence with practicing what to say and how to act/react to situations. Just talking can sometimes be enough.

Do take those pics and videos and celebrate another year! I wish you a happy September start to the school year.😊

Games are a great way to make some time to talk things through in a fun and safe space.

Playing games is a great way to get your child talking and laughing with you, and also teaches important skills like dealing with chance and the unknown

What is Telehealth?
Telehealth therapy is counseling provided via video, telephone, email, or text. The convenience of being in your own home or office without the travel is priceless. It has helped many clients to keep their appointments and get the self care they need. Unlike this puppy in the cartoon, you can use your own couch, or desk, or any private spot. Telehealth therapy offers more flexibility for your schedule. Telehealth was found to be just as effective as face to face therapy and many mental health concerns can be addressed with online therapy. Some of which include:
