Some of the most meaningful moments at our community happen when generations connect. 💙

Resident Mike Lewis — a retired engineer who still maintains his certifications — has taken Taylor, one of our servers and an engineering student, under his wing. Each Saturday after Taylor’s shift, the two sit down to talk about classes, projects, and life goals.

What started as a simple friendship has grown into a mentorship — a beautiful reminder of how wisdom and encouragement are passed from one generation to the next. 🌟

When Jackie’s husband began showing early signs of Alzheimer’s, she chose La Vida Real for the peace of mind and support they both needed. She and her husband Ken can stay as active as they like with a putting green, bocce ball, Friday socials, crafts, card games, and much more on the calendar. Through SRG Senior Living's Let’s Dish program, our residents meet regularly with the culinary team to talk through what’s working, what could be better, and what they’d love to see on the menu. We swap sides and suggest options- it’s a space where feedback turns into real change!

Each month, the chef takes the mic, shares what’s cooking, and listens. Mr. Bob Bowen says it best: “Make your case for it... and pretty soon it’s gonna be on the menu.” 🥗
