In 1972, when OSHA was founded, there were10.9 recordable injuries per 100 workers, in 2013, there were 3.3 per 100 full-time workers. We’re making progress. However, every day in America, 13 people go to work and never come home. That is unacceptable. To quote Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, “These are preventable tragedies that disable our workers, devastate our families, and damage our economy.”

In 2002, Black Box Safety founder and CEO, Jackson Dalton, was injured while serving in the United States Marine Corp. The injury changed Jackson’s life forever and instilled in him a drive to help others through a career in Occupational Health and Safety. Jackson has devoted his life to making sure that people don’t get hurt at work so that they can continue to do the things they love.
With over 12 years of experience, a master’s degree in Public Health, and genuine enthusiasm for his mission to help others, Jackson delivers more than just a product. As a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and former Corporate Safety Engineer, Jackson has the expertise and experience to identify your safety needs and recommend the best products suited for the job and to teach your employees how to use them.
