We've just completed a busy week traveling! Black Box Safety, Inc. participated in a vendor conference at the Los Angeles U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with ADS, Inc. During the event, we had the pleasure of reconnecting with Ben Spivey, our first VA customer since 2017. Following this, we attended a healthcare supplier diversity event at Huntington Health, affiliate of Cedars-Sinai Hospital on behalf of the Veterans In Business Network where we met Andrew Kwok, Pamela Weatherspoon, and other diverse healthcare vendors. The week concluded with our participation in the annual California State University Environmental Health & Safety conference at California State University, Dominguez Hills where we joined Grainger in effort to support campus-wide health and safety initiatives. Engaging with customers and industry partners during these events is invaluable for staying connected and sharing our message. We had an amazing time connecting with such wonderful individuals and couldn't be more pleased as we head into celebrating the 4th of July!

Recently, we actively participated in the 2024 Safety Symposium at California State University San Marcos Our aim was to both share our expertise and learn from others about enhancing safety measures in the workplace. This symposium, organized by the Facilities Development & Management in collaboration with Safety, Health, and Sustainability & Grainger, provided a platform to showcase cutting-edge safety strategies and innovations. We're honored to have contributed to this collaborative and forward-thinking event, reaffirming our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety.

Last week, Black Box Safety, Inc. attended the 13th annual Southern California Gang Conference that was held in San Diego. At the conference, we got to explore how criminal gangs and their relations with law enforcement effect communities across our nation. With a stacked training curriculum for attendees, we had the opportunity to learn from skilled experts leading instructive sessions regarding organized crime to criminal enterprises. We were also fortunate to have our own booth where we got to introduce and meet with many attendants also visiting the conference.

Memorial Day is a significant federal holiday in the United States observed on the last Monday of May each year. It’s a time for honoring and remembering the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. On this hallowed day, we would like to pay homage to our friends who were killed in action: Maj Douglas A. Zembiec, Cpl Tyler Fey, and BM1 Brian Ouellette. Their courage, commitment, and leadership will forever be remembered and appreciated. On this Memorial Day, let us pay homage not only to them, but to all those who have given their lives in service to our Nation.

“Be a man of principle. Fight for what you believe in. Keep your word. Live with integrity. Be brave. Believe in something bigger than yourself. Serve your country. Teach. Mentor. Give something back to society. Lead from the front. Conquer your fears. Be a good friend. Be humble and be self-confident. Appreciate your friends and family. Be a leader and not a follower.
