Es posible que su hijo esté disfrutando de días tranquilos, despertando y quedándose despierto hasta tarde. Volver a la rutina de la escuela puede ser mas difícil de lo que cree. Hay medidas puede tomar para ayudarlos a que comiencen el año escolar despiertos, alertas y listos para aprender.

Empiece ahora por:
- Fijar su meta para la hora de dormir y despertarse
- Limitar o eliminar la cafeína (café, refrescos con cafeína, té) y dulces después de la 1:00 P. M.
- Despertarlos temprano y mantenerlos despiertos
- Ayúdelos a concentrarse y mantenerse despiertos asignándoles pequeñas tareas, proyectos o leyendo
- Retire los dispositivos electrónicos después de la cena para ayudar a su hijo a relajarse y descansar.
- Establezca horarios firmes para irse a dormir e incluso si no pueden conciliar el sueño de inmediato, permítales tiempo para leer un libro

Your child may be been enjoying long leisurely days of sleeping in and staying up late, but with school about ready to start, getting your child back into a schedule may be more difficult than you think! There are things you can do to help them so they start the school year awake, alert and ready to learn!

Start now by:
- Set his/her bedtime and wake-up goal
- Limiting or removing caffeine (caffeinated soda’s coffee, tea) and candy after 1PM
- Getting them up early and keeping them awake
- Help them focus and stay awake by assigning small tasks, projects or reading
- Take away electronic devices after dinner to help your child relax and wind-down
- Set firm bedtimes and even if they can’t fall asleep right away, allow them time to read a (real) book
