This year we changed up the scenery and hosted our annual Holiday Party at Old Spaghetti Factory! The scenery made us feel like we stepped into a holiday wonderland 😍. We kept tradition with ugly Christmas sweaters and everybody’s favorite: White Elephant 🐘Thank you to all of our employees, and their guests, who were able to make it and celebrate the end of an amazing year 🎄❄️

During 1:1 sessions, it is always best to capture data in the moment. It is always the most accurate to do so, AND it saves you from needing to remember data as you may be trying to manage behaviors or run other lessons. Our RBT, Andrew, shows us that real-time data can even be captured while at a park outing!

ABA sessions are filled with learning in many different ways. This can look like structured DTT, Task Analysis, and safety instructions. During these sessions, it’s also important to remember to HAVE FUN! 😁 So much learning can happen naturalistically too, and when in doubt, have a bubble party 🥰🫧

We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our former employees, Kristin. She brought so much joy to her peers, clients, and families during her time here. Our hearts go out to her family and friends as they navigate this difficult time ❤️ She will be greatly missed! 🙏

Clinical Management + Admin came together for some amazing team building this week! We played “guess the fact” where we all learned some interesting facts about each other while enjoying a catered lunch😄. We conducted cross-trainings for important policies and procedures, and we ended with creating vision boards. The theme of our vision boards are “Why We Do This Work”. We all put together boards connecting back to the “why” of the work we do in the ABA field. It was a fun afternoon of insight, laughs, and great connection! ♾️💙

BDABA does CalABA! February 28th - March 2nd was full of continuing education and team building! Nine of our clinical management team members were able to attend this yearly conference and learn from many other ABA professionals. Learning is always more fun when you do it as a team! 😊🤜🤛

Daylight Savings can cause disruption to schedules, routines, behaviors, and so much more. Our clinicians decided to turn that all around and hold an afternoon outdoor session with our clients 🌞. Not only did they soak up the sunshine, but they also got to work on generalizing settings and engaging in social play. Kudos to our team for turning a rougher start to a week into a wonderful, natural teaching opportunity!
