This week, we’re proud to recognize Long Li as he completes his Premiere Sports Clinical Rotation at KIME and reflect on the impact he made during his time at our KIME + Ultimate Fitness performance facility in East Sacramento.
Currently completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy program at University of California, San Francisco, Long brought a strong background in sports rehabilitation, movement science, and performance-based care into the KIME environment.
Under the mentorship of Clinic Instructor & KIME Fellow Drew Reid, DPT, Long gained hands-on experience in the integration of rehabilitation, performance training, objective testing, and return-to-sport decision-making — a key part of what defines the KIME model.
Beyond direct patient care, Long also contributed alongside Drew and the research team at KIME Human Performance Institute, supporting injury prevention initiatives focused on youth athletes and long-term athletic development through KIME’s nonprofit research and human performance efforts.
The Premiere Sports Clinical Rotation is built to expose future clinicians to more than traditional outpatient physical therapy. It places students in an environment where sports medicine, performance, research, education, and leadership development all intersect.
Throughout his rotation, Long demonstrated curiosity, professionalism, initiative, and a genuine commitment to growth — qualities that made an impact on our team and reflected the kind of clinician he is becoming.
We’re grateful to have been part of Long’s development journey and excited for what’s ahead.
And with any luck… we may just see Long back at KIME after graduation.
Congratulations, Long — we’re excited for your future and the work still to come. Let’s go!
