Our Mission & Vision at The Path Wellness Center:

Here at The Path Wellness Center our mission is to provide our clients with a collective space that prides itself on having a consistent value system and ideal model that is mutually shared among all of our practitioners. This vision stems from our wholehearted belief in the value and purpose of improving wellness at both an individual and cultural/societal level with a strong emphasis and focus on transforming mind, body and spirit together. The vision is that our one location will be home to many different types of holistic practitioners whose specific work is entirely dedicated to providing our clients with a total transformative wellness experience. Safe, nurturing and highly trained professionals who are specifically attuned to our clients needs. We seek to help our clients to deepen their relationship with Self, become more aware of their daily experiences, past moments, old wounds, and narratives that live in the makings of their minds. Our mission is to help our clients get in touch with their inner knowing so that they are able to gain a deeper understanding of their most true and authentic self. What we Hope for You:

The Path is designed for individuals who may feel lost or confused, unsure about what their future holds or who may have a strong desire to come back to Self, to reach within, quiet the mind, tend to the body, nourish the soul or see their inner strength blossom. Those who desire to let go of the expectations that no longer serve them, liberate themselves from the negative cycles of self-doubt and find strength and comfort in their truth. We want our clients to build and create loving foundational relationships with self and others, to dedicate time to becoming newer and more fulfilling versions of themselves, while prioritizing total holistic wellness and compassionately tending to the needs of the soul within. How We Will Help You Get There:

Here you will spend time discovering who you are, unlearning and unbecoming everything you were taught and everything you thought you were expected to be in this lifetime and instead becoming fully realigned with your ultimate truth that lives within. This is where you begin your journey, on the one and only path to enlightening the whole you.

Healing isn’t a straight line. Sometimes it’s messy, emotional, and full of moments where you wonder if it’s even working. But that mix of fear and hope? That’s what real transformation feels like.⁣

👋🏼 I’m 𝘒𝘪𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺, founder and therapist at 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 in El Dorado Hills. I’ve spent years helping people untangle old patterns, reconnect to their bodies, and remember who they are beneath the survival mode.⁣

It’s completely normal to have mixed feelings about therapy, to want support but not fully trust it yet. Maybe you’ve tried before and it didn’t feel right, or maybe the idea of opening up feels exhausting. Finding the right person, the right rhythm, the right kind of support, it takes time. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪.⁣

The process of finding the right fit can feel messy at first. But that trial and error is part of healing too, learning what safety, support, and connection look like for 𝘺𝘰𝘶. ⬅️⁣

If something in this message landed, trust that.⁣

It’s your inner wisdom stirring, the part of you that knows healing is possible, even if you don’t know what it looks like yet.⁣

Everyone talks about healing like it’s this peaceful, glowy thing.⁣

But sometimes it’s just… hard.⁣

It’s crying over things you thought you were “past.”⁣

It’s realizing that the numbness you once relied on kept you safe, but also kept you disconnected.⁣

𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙.⁣
𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡.⁣

And when the ache shows up, the tears, the irritability, the grief you can’t quite name, it doesn’t mean you’re breaking.⁣
It means you’re thawing.⁣

This is the messy, real part of healing that no one posts about.⁣

The part where you stop bypassing your pain and start being with it… gently, honestly, and without shame.⁣

So many people think they need to be “𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺” to start healing. But healing doesn’t begin with readiness.⁣

Healing often begins with a faint whisper: “𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘺.”⁣

• Maybe you’re afraid of what will come up if you slow down.⁣
• Maybe you’re scared of letting go of the version of you that’s held everything together.⁣
• Maybe healing feels like too much to take on, on top of everything else you’re already managing… and that’s okay.⁣

✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.⁣

For those feeling stuck in the middle of “𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦” and “𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸.”⁣

You don’t have to leap.⁣
You can pause, breathe, and take one small step forward.⁣

That 𝙞𝙨 healing.⁣

What We’re Reading Here at The Path 📖⁣

If your body has been whispering “slow down” and your mind keeps saying “keep going,” this one’s for you.⁣

𝘿𝙤 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨 by Kate Northrup is a beautiful permission slip for anyone caught in the cycle of over-functioning, burnout, or constant self-pressure.⁣

It’s about syncing with the natural rhythms of your body and the seasons of your life, so your energy, creativity, and relationships can actually thrive.⁣

Here’s what we love most about this book:⁣

✨ Your body follows a cycle, not a straight line. Learning to align your schedule, work, and rest with your hormonal phases (or the moon cycle if you’re no longer bleeding) helps you live in flow instead of constant fight.⁣

✨ Doing less can actually create more… more presence, clarity, and connection. When you stop pushing, your nervous system finally has space to breathe.⁣

✨ Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. It’s a signal that your body’s needs have been ignored for too long.⁣

✨ Productivity culture teaches us to override our instincts. This book helps us remember that rest and stillness are part of creation, not the opposite of it.⁣

As therapists, we see how often clients measure their worth by output. Do Less has reshaped the way we talk about healing and sustainability. It reminds us that 𝙨𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧.⁣

💬 “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵.”⁣

We recommend this book to anyone craving a gentler, more body-honoring way to live.⁣

If your nervous system is tired of keeping up, this book will help you remember what it feels like to be in sync with yourself again. 💛⁣

So many people fall into this pattern without even realizing it. From a young age, many of us are taught that love means giving more, fixing, or holding everything together. Some grew up in families where being the caretaker felt like the only way to stay safe. Others have been praised for “doing it all,” as if exhaustion is a badge of honor.⁣

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁:⁣
✨ Quiet resentment that grows over time⁣
✨ Feeling more like a caretaker than a partner⁣
✨ Living in constant overdrive, with little space to rest⁣
✨ Losing touch with personal needs and desires⁣
✨ Anxiety about what might fall apart if the load is shared⁣

When one partner carries too much, connection suffers. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙮 𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙩.⁣

The truth is… healthy relationships aren’t built on one person doing it all. They’re built on partnership, repair, and shared responsibility.⁣

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀? You can learn to step back, set boundaries, and invite your partner into balance, without losing the relationship.⁣

The 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥 is the invisible weight of keeping life running. The constant planning, tracking, and anticipating that rarely makes it onto a chore chart.⁣

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚…⁣
* keeping everyone’s schedules straight,⁣
* anticipating needs before anyone asks,⁣
* carrying reminders in your head 24/7…⁣
…it’s no wonder you feel 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹.⁣

🔎 𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀?⁣
* Sometimes it goes back to family of origin. If you grew up as the caretaker, it may feel natural to take on too much.⁣
* Sometimes trauma makes you hyperaware of what could go wrong, so you manage everything before it does.⁣
* Sometimes couples fall into a cycle where one partner over-functions while the other under-functions.⁣
* And sometimes, it’s about strengths. Maybe you’re naturally organized or detail-oriented, while your partner shines in other ways, and suddenly you become the “𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙧.”⁣

✨ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽:⁣
* Bring it into the open. Talk about the unseen work as much as the visible tasks.⁣
* Notice the roles you’ve each taken on. Ask: where do we want more balance?⁣
* Name resentment early. It’s easier to shift patterns before they calcify.⁣
* Trade tasks intentionally. Instead of “helping out,” assign full ownership, so one person isn’t tracking every detail.⁣
* Check-ins. Even a 10-minute weekly conversation can keep things aligned and prevent silent buildup.⁣

And if these conversations feel stuck, we can help you 𝗺𝗮𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰, 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.⁣

We’ve been taught to believe that shutting down our cycles is the same as healing.⁣

Skip a period, take a pill, mute the symptoms.⁣

But here’s the truth: 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴… 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴.⁣

Your body isn’t working against you. Every symptom you feel, the rage, the brain fog, the exhaustion, the deep sadness, is your body speaking in the only language it has.⁣

When we suppress the cycle, we mute the message. And while relief can sometimes be necessary (and 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 valid), it doesn’t erase the root.⁣

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻. When we get curious about our nervous system, our trauma history, our environment, and the stressors that shape how our cycle feels.⁣

𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙮𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙮.⁣
𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨.⁣

And you deserve care that goes deeper than symptom management. ⁣

You deserve care that honors the wisdom in your body.⁣

💬 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙮𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪? ⁣

𝗣𝗠𝗗𝗗 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀… and if you’ve lived it, you already know that.⁣

Hormonal shifts may be the spark, but the fire often spreads through your nervous system, your sensory world, and your ability to feel what’s happening inside your body.⁣

A new mini-review shared by breaks it down beautifully; reminding us that PMDD is a neuroendocrine disorder, not just a hormonal one.⁣

Here’s what researchers found:⁣
    •  Trauma can increase sensitivity during the luteal phase⁣
    •  Sensory processing differences can make symptoms more intense⁣
    •  Interoception (how we sense internal cues) can heighten distress⁣

➡️ This is why two people with PMDD can have completely different experiences.⁣

One might feel rage and overwhelm.⁣
Another might shut down and disconnect.⁣
𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡. 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩.⁣

When care only focuses on balancing hormones, it leaves out you… your story, your patterns, your needs.⁣

A trauma and sensory informed approach to PMDD care helps us move from⁣
“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦?” → to → “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸?”⁣

💻 Read the full blog (link in bio) for a deeper look at this research and what it means for treatment.⁣

We’ve been taught to brush off our cycles as a hassle, something to medicate away or push through. ⁣

‼️ Irregular periods, severe PMS or PMDD, heavy bleeding, painful cramps, or missing cycles aren’t just “normal female problems.” They’re 𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀 that your body needs more support.⁣

When we start to see the cycle as a vital sign, like blood pressure, heart rate, or body temperature, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨. Your period becomes a messenger, not an inconvenience.⁣

Our Story

Hello, I am Kimberly Ciardella, like you, I am many things...

A California licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, doctor of psychology, mom of a very outgoing daughter, wife of a firefighter, empath, business owner, ex-legal assistant, coffee addict, lover of all things outdoors, and so much more.

I know all to well both the beauty and chaos that is being HUMAN. And know that when we try and navigate the chaos alone it can feel impossible. But the greatest knowledge I have gained thus far in life is that human connection is the foundation from which all growth and love occur.

It is my goal to make sure all of my clients experience this and know that they are NOT ALONE.
