Your sleep habits will absolutely affect your heart and overall health. If you're not regularly getting seven to nine hours of sleep try some of these tips:

Build a bedtime routine - set an alarm for the time you will start getting ready for bed and setting yourself up for a successful morning. Write down to-do's and get them off your mind.

Relax! Meditate, stretch or do yoga, journal, read a book. Turn off TVs and electronic devices as their bright lights have an effect on sleeping patterns.

Decide on a wake-up time and stick to it, don't hit the snooze button. Movement, breakfast, and sunlight (if available) will help you get started.
