Hey, Family!

I'm digging through the US Census records on Ancestry; the first Mcalphin relative I can find for sure is Jemima / Jarmina / Mima McAlphin in 1880.

I found a doctor in Caddo Parish on the slave schedule who owned 2 slaves whose ages match Jemima and her son Washington (Wash) at the time. My next step is trying to find a document that names them.

Of course, Wash went on to have a son named Steve who married Sula Green. I think most of us can trace the Mcalphin tree back as far as our Steve/Sula branch.

Just in case, here's a link to my starter tree. If anybody has access to old photos (grandparents and great-grandparents especially) please share. The next phase is adding spouses and children etc for my grandma's siblings.
