Thousands of Arkansas women get their mammograms on the UAMS MammoVan, part of our growing fleet of mobile cancer screening vehicles that travel the state year-round. As the state's only Mobile Mammography Program, the MammoVan is a lifeline for the 35,000 women who live in one of 28 Arkansas counties that lack an FDA-approved mammography facility.

Since January 2025, the MammoVan has visited 55 Arkansas counties, hosted 81 screening events, logged 14,000 miles and screened more than 1,000 women - 113 of them receiving their very first mammogram.

This month, we'll stop in 10 towns, including Gould, Waldo, Hazen, Fordyce, McGehee, Arkadelphia, Helena-West Helena, Dumas and Booneville. You'll find us in the parking lots of schools, churches, car dealerships - even gas stations.
