We are saddened to share that our City Floodplain Administrator and Engineer, Bob Kosar, has passed away. Funeral service information is available on the city website and social media pages.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Robert “Bob” Paul Kosar, our city’s Floodplain Administrator and City Engineer.

Bob served our community with dedication, professionalism, and kindness, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to work with him.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Officer Larry Blacksmith of the Lakeview Police Department.
Memorial services will be held this Wednesday, July 23 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Church Houston. A reception will follow from 2 to 4 p.m. in the El Lago City Hall Event Room.
City offices will be closed that day to allow staff to attend the services.

Officer Larry Blacksmith was a long-time resident of El Lago prior to moving to Dickinson. He served the City of El Lago as a warrant officer and court bailiff. He was always kind, thoughtful, and caring of our city staff and others he encountered. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who are grieving the loss of a wonderful man.
