A message about holding space during uncertain times
Dear Samsara Family,
With everything happening in the world with rising tensions between nations, we know that many of you may be carrying a quiet, persistent worry. Whether it’s showing up as fatigue, irritability, worry, or a general sense of unease… you're not alone. Global stress doesn’t just live in the headlines. It settles in our nervous systems, in our breath, in our sleep, and in how we show up each day.
At Samsara, we believe that emotional safety is just as important as physical health. In uncertain times, it's natural for our bodies to stay on alert, even if we're not directly affected by events abroad. You might notice:
A tight chest or clenched jaw
Restless sleep
Difficulty focusing
A sense of helplessness or sadness
These are not personal failures. They’re your body’s intelligent response to fear and uncertainty.
We want you to know:
You are seen and supported here.
It’s okay to feel what you feel—there is no “right” reaction.
Our space remains a place of compassion, calm, and connection.
For our patients: If global anxiety is weighing heavily on you, please don’t hesitate to bring it into your session. We’re here to process, ground, and help you find tools that honor your unique experience.
For our team: Let’s keep checking in with each other, not just about the work, but about how we’re really doing. If you need to step away, talk it out, or adjust something to support your well-being, please speak up. We’re in this together.
Let’s all remember: Peace starts with how we treat ourselves and each other.
Warmly,
Ivonne Espinosa, DNN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
