Happy 1 Year Workaversary Julie Cabral! Julie brings a unique perspective to our team. Not only does she have several years of experience as an RBT, but she is also pursuing a career in occupational therapy. Having an understanding of human anatomy as well as techniques that further the development of motor skills is highly useful in the teaching of play and promoting independence in self-help skills within ABA.

All military families with children with autism should be informed with this upcoming report regarding Tricare's ABA services.

🛑This is it🛑

The Congressionally mandated report reviewing TRICARE's Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) program will be released by September 16th!

Military families receiving ABA services....this report will determine your future.

On September 16, NASEM will present the report via an online session to discuss the methods used during the demonstration, methods used to measure effectiveness of ABA, and adherence to guidelines and industry standards of care.

Bottom line: This report may answer the burning question...should the DoD consider ABA services a medically necessary treatment for autism and cover ABA as a TRICARE basic benefit?
