It was this day 2 years ago that my good friend and mentor Dr David F. Jimenez MD, FACS unexpectedly passed. As time goes by I’m so thankful and cognizant of the efforts he put into me during our years together to be able to continue GREAT work that he was convinced that God had put him in this earth to do. I think of the many babies he helped throughout his life, and that we were able to help together. But also his selfless sharing of his techniques that has lead to a worldwide shift in how this surgery is fundamentally viewed. He really did change the world and now through his team that he built here we continue to change and improve it - sharing what we know and encouraging others to do the same! I miss you David!

Happy Birthday Ezekiel!!!! I always love seeing our kids grow up and thrive!!!!

Ezekiel turned 3! He’s a bright, chatty, friendly young man 🥰
Everything since his endoscopic surgery when he was 5 months old is looking great. No concerns to worry about 🙏
His left eyeball, the side his suture was fused would wander off to the side when he looked long distance. This has slowly improved over time and it only happens a little bit now and then. He went for his eye checkup recently and the Dr said “he actually has better eyesight than average”. 🥳 We were stocked to get that extra bonus news!

I couldn’t imagine having to face eye surgery which is mostly inevitable if they have the big invasive CVR surgery here in New Zealand. So getting to skip that is another reason to be thankful we were able to access endoscopic surgery in Texas to avoid that and let his eye come in line naturally with David F. Jimenez MD, FACS team Dr David M Yates 🙏
Every birthday is a celebration of gratefulness 🥳🥰

Unfortunately endoscopic surgery to relieve babies of the pressure from craniostynosis early is still not available in New Zealand 😔 but we will keep sharing, asking and hoping!
